LaTech's AD was saying today they have to understand they won't have players for four years anymore. It's more like reloading every two years .

This reality sucks but he’s at least wise to figure it out

Majerus at STL passed unexpectedly in 2012. I’m convinced SLU would be in the Big East today had he lived longer.

I like this answer the most. Nil and realignment is the easy answer and certainly contributes but then i look at the mountain west and they are stronger than ever before.

I knew loyola was before but did not realize the others were also. Makes their runs even more impressive. Thank you for the correction

Let's go back to 12 team football leagues and 8 team basketball leagues.

At a minimum I wish we could just have separate leagues for hoops/baseball. Let the football monster exist on its own.

Three programs in the A10 have P5 NIL- SLU, VCU and Dayton. Those schools are keeping up with the landscape. You have GW, Richmond, Fordham and St Joes That have good NIL for their size and commitment, But Duquesne, Lasalle, Bonnies and Davidson Lack NIL badly, and Lasalle will never have the resources to keep up.

We need to kick Duquesne and Lasalle out. Add Wichita st and Temple, or even just WSU and that's a good start at strengthening the conference .

Best case is some merger between BE and ACC. A10 can pick up schools like DePaul, Butler, Creighton, Seton Hall and potentially X. Along with Wichita st. And kick out the annual bottom feeders.

This is the correct take. They need to be separated.

The ACC isn’t much better. Traditional football programs with deep pockets are taking over the sport. The SEC is about to take over college basketball.
