My thoughts exactly. I thought black Gene Simmons in the video was going to be announcing that members of the “community” had pooled resources to “invent” a new store to replace the Walgreens. I’m shocked.

Rinse and repeat in San Fran, Minneapolis, etc…why do you think you can rob places blind or burn the stores down and the company just keeps propping up a store that loses money…at some point the even PR machine of that company will see that hey it’s a money loser in a bad area….cut it off and go into an area where you make a little money or at least break even…yet the locals who stole the place blind or burn it down will complain we are being left behind…it’s like the chicken and egg debate on bad behavior what drives what…

If these stores have enough paying customers (article said that theft was 16%, so they have some honest people paying for their merchandise) they should convert the property into a prepaid shop. You are required to order online or with an app and after payment is received your goods are brought to the window.

It sucks that law abiding people, who pay for their goods, lose access because of a bunch of thieves.

But the local government would probably make it illegal to do it.

I love that this is the brightest and best spoken they had to plead the case. Walgreen should be ashamed theys gonna be destitute

As long as the answer to this is always Don’t Snitch , then chains should close every store in the neighborhood.

I'll buy it from Walgreens and open up a 24 hour chicken and waffles joint and close after the fourth or fifth shootin' = profit.
