re: What was your best non-career job? - Jon Ham
Cart/range/bag guy at country club. Had a few friends do it with me. Perfect job for teenage guys. It was either really busy or it was dead, either way we got to dick around outside in golf carts, snag beers left in coolers, and just get to enjoy being outside on a beautiful golf course. We got to p...

re: Arkansas is next Colorado - Jon Ham
I am probably one of the few, if not only, on this board that have lived in Arkansas and Colorado. Very different places. Hardly comparable. If your basis for comparison is they both have beer and outdoor activities then you could say the same about just about every other state. But I get what yo...

re: Obstacle course races - Jon Ham
I started running last year so that is the easy part for me. But I know I’m awful at pull ups/grip strength type stuff. I only just recently started incorporating pushups into my workouts. I don’t have any weights or pull up bar at home, may need to invest in some if I can’t find a tree on my proper...

re: Obstacle course races - Jon Ham
Bruh that shocking obstacle is no joke. I tried to sprint through it and it locked my entire body up and I face planted.
Ok, I just realized they had that electric shock obstacle. That is fricking retarded. What’s the point?...

re: Obstacle course races - Jon Ham
If you can run a few miles and do a few push ups/a pull up..... you'll be fine.
Like with a lot of things, 80% is just showing up and taking on the challenge, but I would want to try to put myself in position to be able to complete all the obstacles. I wouldn’t be ok just showing u...

Probably something like this New Balance “water shoe” that allows for water drainage. ...

re: Obstacle course races - Jon Ham
I want something accessible enough that I can get a group together of varying fitness levels but not something so easy that it feels like a waste of time to anyone. Somewhat of a tough balance to strike but it seems like tough mudder does it....

re: Obstacle course races - Jon Ham
I just watched a YouTube clip of a tough mudder, that looks a little more exciting than a Spartan but still nothing too crazy. There’s one near me early next year. Think I’m going to try to get a group together. Looks like a lot of fun. Thanks you two for mentioning that one, just what I was looking...

re: Obstacle course races - Jon Ham
Like wipeout?
Any type of 3+ mile race that has obstacles along the way. The only one I’ve checked out so far is the Spartan races which have things like climbing walls, sand bag carries, rope climbs, muddy terrains etc dispersed throughout the course....

Obstacle course races - Jon Ham
Interested in hearing from those who have done one. What was it like, how did you prepare, was it worth it, what kind of course you would recommend for someone looking for a real challenge but nothing insane....

re: ‘Hide yo interns’! Biden has officially asked this person ‘to undergo vetting’ - Jon Ham
He unnecessarily boxed himself in by saying early on he would definitely pick a woman. If that’s his logic then shouldn’t he have turned down Obama’s offer to be his VP? If that’s his logic, then is he saying he’s choosing his running mate based on sex and not simply on merit? Doesn’t that water dow...

re: What has gotten into Ted Cruz the last few years?? - Jon Ham
Cruz probably would have been the GOP nominee in 2016 if not for Trump. He has to be one of the early favorites for the 2024 nom. Good chance it comes down between him and Pence with Rand and a Trump heir as darkhorses. Pence is likely the favorite at this point....

re: LifeProTip: Use real Dawn to wash poison ivy off hands, not the foaming kind. - Jon Ham
2/3 baking soda 1/3 water. Or was it 2/3 water 1/3 baking soda? I check the webpage again. Yes, I was right the first time. I mix the concoction in my child’s flimsy plastic bowl, creating a thick grainy paste. That looks about right. I take the bowl with me to the toilet, pull down my pants, and...
