If I were a Dem looking to put together a ticket that gave us the best shot to win, it would be something like Gore/Shapiro. I don’t think any of the current crop of Dems have the gravitas or political skill to beat Trump in this environment....

All of this back and forth over the details doesn’t change the fact that whoever was in charge absolutely failed (assuming this is a matter of negligence and not intentional). At least 30 minutes before Trump hits the stage, there must have been a confirmation every single sensitive point was approp...

I also have to wonder if the last name was a selling point in Trump’s mind. If it doesn’t sound or look right, it would be a no-go for Trump. Vance is a lot like “Pence.” Coincidence?...
