This relates to the 10% thread.

If you have seen the movie Glengarry Glen Ross, give me an upvote. Otherwise, give me a downvote.

Disclaimer: this poll is unscientific

A star-studded cast:

Al Pacino
Jack Lemmon
Alec Baldwin
Ed Harris
Alan Arkin
Kevin Spacey
Jonathan Pryce

The source of multiple Alec Baldwin memes, like "coffee is for closers" and "A - Always, B - Be, C - Closing".

Fantastic movie. Very well acted with a great plot. Baldwin somehow stands out even though he's only in it for maybe 8 minutes. He's that good in that role.

I paraphrase the Baldwin speech more than any other, I think.

Very well acted

I'm old school. I love Jack Lemmon. He can pull off both comedic and serious roles playing basically the same character.

He won best actor for Save the Tiger. That is a movie I bet less than 10% of the board has seen.

I've watched it but only because I took a film course in college. I have watched it since taking the course since it is so damn good.

Neither that speech nor the character were in the original play.

I watched it when I was pretty young and feel like I didn’t appreciate it as much as I would now

Even people that haven’t seen it know coffee is for closers.

I thought I had read too that he winged much of it himself as well. I think the whole back and forth with Ed Harris was largely completely improv.

I've watched enough of the movie through clips on YouTube that if I stitched them all together it would be maybe 75% of it. Does that count?

Same for Margin Call.

That does not count.

Jack Lemmon has said that this was the most talented group of actors he has ever worked with.

It's as well acted an ensemble film there has ever been.

Arguably Pacino's best true, visceral acting performance (I would consider his performance in Donnie Brasco maybe just a bit better because he had to carry more of that movie).

Just having Pacino, Ed Harris, Kevin Spacy and Jack Lemmon in various combinations together is a fantastic treat. If you love great acting, you can't truly dislike this movie, IMHO.

More like Glen and Gary suck Ross’ meaty cock and drop their harry nuts in his eager mouth.
