Holly Rowe should have that job as long as she wants it. She's got more football knowledge in that dome than the rest combined.
I had a chat with Holly Rowe at the SEC Softball Tournament held in Athens last Spring. I found her to be very personable and simply a nice person.
Due to my sports interests, Allyssa Lang, Kaylee Mansell and Hannah Yates are my favorite sports reporters.

Georgia first played Ole Miss in 1940
The teams have played 50 games.
Georgia leads the head to head with a 34-15-1 record.
In other words, Georgia has won 70% of the time.
In additional words... Georgia is the blue blood and Mississippi is the team with the blue balls.

Those are the ones that can make or break your team.
I can't speak for other teams, but many come to Georgia to get coached up for the next level.
Kirby tries to avoid those who are only looking for more money.

You embrace mediocrity !!!!
No, I'm not a fan of Greg $ankey. He is ESPN's concubinate.
With the new 9 game conference schedule, the entire SEC conference is at an even greater disadvantage.
And no, I don't embrace settling for anything less that a 100% effort.

The only way to get an accurate read on anything is to let the actual season play out.
You really can't compare the two programs at this point.
Texas has a system already in place while LSU's system is going to be significantly revamped.
Teams that have been stable don't need as much portal talent and the learning curve is minimal.
Cignetti was an exception because he brought both his system and a whole bunch of players from James Madison. He also didn't have a killer schedule to deal with right out of the gate.
LSU has a legit chance because the toughest run is at the end of the season with Alabama, Texas and Tennessee in a row. LSU also caught a break by not having to play Georgia for three years in a row.

But you can think what you want.
Georgia just won back to back SEC Championships.
And this year we beat Alabama in Atlanta by 21 points.
In the last 5 seasons:
We have gone 65-7
We have won two National Championships.
We have won three SEC Championships.
Yep, we only went 12-2 this season with one of the youngest rosters in the country; the second youngest in the SEC.
It is what it it is.......

7-5 or 8-4
That near empty Death Valley Stadium scene against aTm just keeps me from being exact as well.
LSU will go somewhere between 7-5 and 9-3. :drunkards:

Wow...you guys are worse than the Vols at claiming preseason titles.
This is now uncharted territory.
Every team in the SEC with Orange colors is drinking massive amounts of Kool-Aid.

Hope Alabama leadership feels the same. Y’all are toast.
Alabama leadership is responsible for the 15 year Learfield deal.
The same Learfield deal that pushed Saban out the door.
DeBoer is stuck with the same setup and Bama fans seem clueless about it.

Nate Frazier is attending classes today on the Georgia campus.

the conference championship games are only for one thing.... MONEY.
The conference championship games were originally used as a per-playoff game used to secure a playoff slot.
$ankey has already sold out the SEC to ESPN by going to a 9 game conference schedule. We no longer have a level playing field.
Fans like you who probably never played in sports at the college level are simply naive about how much wear and tear is present in the SEC.
LSU is not going to win another Natty with the current setup...

Based on how Indiana has looked the last 3 games, they would own the SEC in 2025.
Totally wrong...
Indiana is not a deep team.
They would have sustained more injuries and as a result they would have ended up with at least two losses, if not three.
quote:
It's time to dial that talk down some.
Its time to get a new SEC Commissioner.
Tell ESPN that they can take their 9 game schedule and shove it where the sun don't shine.

UGA would make it a game! Texas defense is suspect.
Georgia would make it a game, but the difference is that Georgia had injuries and fatigue from playing tough games against SEC opponents.
Georgia's largest point spread was 17 against Kentucky, and most of the games were within a 6 point spread.
Indiana played several games against teams within the B1G where they were clearly favored by more than 21 points.
The point spread against Rutgers was 33 frickin' points.
Now Sankey comes along and bends over for ESPN who wants "an even better inventory" per Finebaum. Each SEC program now loses an extra home game every other year.
$ankey has made the situation even worse.

In the last 4 years we have beaten our rivals almost every time we played them and only won 2 Natties and the SEC Championship 3 out of 4 years!
Yep...
We could be Alabama with four loses during each of the last two seasons.

Since Georgia last won the Title....
The 2023 Georgia team could have beat Michigan.
Dropped an unprecedented four places in the polls.
Georgia will have a much better team in 2026 and an easier schedule.
Meanwhile, with the new 9 game conference schedule, teams like LSU, Ole Miss, and Bama will probably miss making the playoffs.
Kirby got on his soapbox and nobody listened.

I've concluded that nobody on this board has enough program intel to know the answer one way or the other. Some will speculate, but it just seems like speculation.

Your headline about the open market is misleading.
Nate Frazier is not officially in the portal, so his agent is apparently trying to get him some extra money out of Georgia.
Classes start on Monday... He will have to enter the portal immediately if he wants to transfer.
