re: Honestly, what has the Committee seen of Bama the last 2 weeks?

Or are we to change the rules tonight?
The committee does what ESPN tells them to do.

Even if they in i think it will get cancelled
Sankey is a money slut... Whatever ESPN wants Sankey will give them.
If the SEC goes back to having co-champions, the playoff slots would simply be filled by the highest ranked teams.

Otherwise a mediocre team can luck into a garbage schedule and win the championship without proving anything.
Are you talking about the Aggies ????

Things will be different for this week. And from what I have heard about him, he is a high quality lineman who simply hasn't seen a lot of game time.
Malachi Toliver grew up tonight...
I met him when he first arrived....
He was under 300 pounds.
I could tell right off that he was a real good kid.

I really feel like we are just getting set up for another heartbreaker.
We should have scored at least 3 points right before half time.
I think that we just need to continue to pound the running game and play good secondary pass coverage.

Because it's basically a meaningless game.
Not for Georgia
Both teams are likely way too beat up to make a deep run in he playoffs.
12 teams enter the playoffs and only one will win their last game.
Meanwhile, winning this game has been a goal for several SEC teams that have never won an SEC championship.
It would be a pity for either of these two teams to take it for granted.

re: UGA looking to set new legal precedent in portal case

Good for UGA, and good for contract case law precedent. As for CFB, one more step down the pathway to it being just a business.
I personally compare this situation to the MLB draft and minor league system..
When a player agrees to sign on and accepts a signing bonus up front, the franchise technically protects that interests by controlling that player's development and playing time until he becomes eligible to become a free agent.
If a baseball rookie walks away from a minor league club, they simply can't walk over to another franchise of their choice. They off course could be traded, but the initial franchise doesn't totally lose out on their original investment.

The B1G has won the national championship the past two years and is favored to do so again this year so it's probably best to be on an even playing field.
The new SEC nine game schedule will reduce the probability of an SEC program winning the national championship by about 17%.
In a 12 slot field you can expect the SEC to get four teams in next season.
And those four teams will be beat up from head to head play in those nine games.
Sankey didn't even used the nine game schedule as a bargaining chiip to try to get 16 slots.

I'm betting on Georgia to cover the spread.

I could see him being here 1 year maybe 2 absolutely killing it then leaving for a pretty good HC job.
That was my point.... Florida should have hired Faulkner as the HC.
Just like Arkansas should have hired Faulkner as their head coach.
In contrast, Kirby is a year away from having another elite defense as good as the natty ones. .

Buster should have had head coaching offers.....
He wanted the Arkansas job..... Arkansas screwed the pooch on not hiring Faulkner.

I thought Faulkner might get a head coaching job
I had heard that he had interviewed at Arkansas for the HC position.
Florida would have been better off hiring Faulkner for the HC position where he would have been able to bring in a decent DC.
In any event, Florida should do slightly better with these two than with Napier.

It would hard to fathom if Ole Miss were to somehow go on a deep run in the playoffs.

Which means that a 10-2 record likely finishes better than 7th in the standings..
So you are all for diminishing the plight of SEC programs when compared to 10-2 teams from cupcake conferences.
The committee has made it pretty obvious that a 10-2 record from a cupcake conference is equivalent to a 10-2 SEC outcome.
Sark is already groveling over the outcome of an 8 game schedule and you want to advocate for even more disparity.

Poor Georgia fans are just ticked we took your quarterback.
According to the Rivals board, Vandy put together a 1.7 million dollar package for an unproven and undeveloped QB from a rather small Christian school program.
The kid's agent must be laughing all the way to the bank.
I'm not upset that we didn't match that ridiculous amount. Kirby has stated over and over that he isn't interested in kids who are only chasing a check.
