Calls cant get reversed like that. Its against the rules. It was the pussy arse refs trying to help the sips as much as possible. Like they always do.
After watching the replay I didn't think that the call was all that bogus based on the fact that the DB had his hands on Smith's chest while the ball was in the air.
In other words, it was a close call that could have gone either way.
Texas and OU were brought into the SEC with visions of grandeur.
As I told one of my friends who happens to be an OU grad...
OU fans will now need to get used to not hanging banners on a fairly regular basis.

Kirby said nobody has OL depth anymore.
But yet Kirby now has as much OL depth that he has had since 2023.
I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that Georgia doesn't experience as many injuries as has been the case over the past couple of seasons.

while Indiana and Notre Dame get like 6 warm up games against high school teams before having to play anyone with a pulse.
And this is why the B1G is likely to keep winning titles.
Sankey never played a sport at the D1 level.
He has no comprehension about how wear and tear affects attrition
Going to a 9 game SEC conference schedule was all about ESPN greed.

Crap! You SEC guys and your continued misuse of UT.
Back in the day, when Tennessee fans were wearing orange ribbons, a Texas girl decided that she wanted to wear an orange ribbon too.
So she went into a local store but the only orange ribbons that they had were located near the front window and were faded from the Texas sunlight.
Yep, burnt orange was a cast off of Tennessee orange.
So, y'all play each other in week four of this season.
Let the winner claim to be the real UT.

This may well be true but if I'm the top brass of the military I'm not going to show my best in a war games scenario. That gets saved for when it's the real thing
The problem with a tactical scenario like this is that it doesn't involve the other capabilities that the US military would likely deploy in a serious wartime environment.
What the US Navy deployed against the Iranian drones during the first few weeks of the war was something that they had absolutely no knowledge of.
Our platform based strategic capabilities have not even been close to having been fully utilized in the Iran conflict.

do it, Mr. President.
Trump is going to wait until the mid-terms are over before he strikes.
He will give China one last chance to influence Iran. Trump will meet with Xi on September 24th and give him roughly two months to convince Iran to settle for an agreement.
Trump's main concern at this point is to try to keep oil at about 75 dollars a barrel. If he does that, the Republicans will not only keep the Senate but will very likely pick up Georgia. The House is a total toss up at this point.
Israel has been collecting an amazing amount of data regarding the choke points of the Iranian regime.
As Trump has pointed out, the US is in a position to continue the pressure on Iran without the need for a policy change.

At this point Kirby hasn't a clue what he's doing.
Yep, a greatly improving pass rush will do him in this season.
And adding a significant amount of depth to the O Line to offset injuries is simply not necessary.
Poor Kirby... :violin:

Got to go to practice today
The practice was fast moving and was just as much about conditioning at this point than fine tuning skills.
Most of Kirby's comments had to do with players being out of position or not finishing the play, downfield blocking in particular.
As the practice continued Kirby made several comments about sweaty hands. Eventually, several players started to cramp up..
Montgomery looked better than Puglisi in my opinion.
Way too early to come to any conclusions but I think Kirby has expected Ryan to be more refined at this point. Time will tell.
The overall pass rush was pretty good. The pressure seemed to be fairly consistent.
From my point of view, Humphries, Taylor and Bell ran the best WR routes.
Although Kirby was on Tre Shields for missing a couple of blocks, his ability to get separation was apparent.
The tight ends made some nice catches in tight coverage. They will need to improve on being able to release cleaner and being able to separate.
Kirby is obviously trying to prompt more leadership from the experienced guys and some of those comments were pretty salty.

Breakout player- Chris Cole
From what I have been hearing from my local contacts, Dwight Phillips Jr. has stepped it up to another level.
Tre Shields is my total dark horse. (Do you all remember Adonai Mitchell's freshman year?)
On defense, Harris is a key playmaker.

But after spending years of hearing about how OU and Texas weren't ready for the SEC
There are five SEC schools with campuses that are located west of the Mississippi River.
Not one of those schools has ever won an SEC Football Championship.

The SEC will be won in the trenches.
Not sure why as an Aggie fan you are hyping Texas over Georgia.
Georgia is currently at +290 to win the SEC on FanDuel.
Texas is currently at +330 to win the SEC on FanDuel..
ESPN has Georgia at +260.
ESPN has Texas at + 310.
To proclaim Texas as a done deal at this point is a bit of a stretch.

NO
Thune is intentionally subverting this legislation.
I have been calling up several senators and telling them that my campaign contributions are tied to the Save America Act.
No act = no money.
The NRSC is not getting a dime of my money.

Thune should never have been chosen as the majority leader.
I sensed that he would become yet another Paul Ryan type.
I am so very tired of the RINO betrayals.
After this mid-term...
I would really like to see Trump and Musk formulate a new political party for the 2028 election cycle. 300 million from each along with contributions would secure a legitimate foundation.

9 game conf schedule also gave ABC/ESPN improved content. Conference got nothing for this either.
Actually, each team will lose the revenue from hosting a home game every other year.
Georgia has a 94 thousand seat stadium and will only host 6 games next year. The local Athens economy will lose about 1.5 million dollars due to the change.
Sankey is more responsive to ESPN/ABC than he is to the programs.

LSU wins it? Good for us
And if Lane goes 9-3 and gets left out of the bracket again like he did the season before last....???
A nine game circular firing setup will likely keep LSU out of the playoffs this season.

The BIG Ten thinking they run the world
Going to a nine game conference schedule just excluded 4 SEC teams from becoming serious Natty contenders.
Those four extra loses will push 4 SEC teams to a 9-3 record or worse.
SEC teams with a 10-2 record or better will face off in the SECCG, and increase the law of diminishing returns due to even more wear and tear.
If I were to bet serious money, I'd have to stick with the B1G due to the incompetence of one Greg Sankey.

Last years unit was decent imo.
The reality is that if the OL doesn't experience a lot of injuries, it will be dominant with respect to the running attack.
And when you can establish the run to where you get 5 or more yards per down it creates a defensive coaches worst nightmare.
Other teams can stack but it then opens up our TE capabilities.
We can easily claim to have the best TE room in the country.
Luckie, Reddell, Williams, Barbour, Keyes, Prothro, etc.
