But I'm not sure he wins the election in this environment, which is a whole other obstacle we have to address post-Trump

I don’t think he is electable either. He was exposed badly in 2024.

Someone who’s gay for Trump will never understand this but that’s not what happened.

He was running as a back up plan in case the Dems plan worked to put Trump in jail. But MAGA is a wet noodle movement who can’t handle anyone threatening their dear leader.

Running as the somehow “anti Trump” was just an abjectly stupid way to do that.

I’m sorry, but it’s an absolute fact from a pure political perspective.

Very true massietuckertard bros are conflicted as their speech is hate speech in Florida.

And the bill was signed in as Candy would say--isreel.

I like Ron, but DeBoar is right that he is more extreme on that subject than almost anyone. He signed a borderline unconstitutional hate speech bill there and would probably have boots on the ground in Iran right now.

For me his wife is my biggest hold up. She irks me for some reason.

But dude is good at what he does. And as of right now this topic is my top one, and the Trump administration is failing. Vance is gonna be behind Desantis and Rubio for me.

This might be Desantis way into the race no doubt.

She thought she was Jackie O for a minute. Just get cajunangelle started on this subject.

Maybe Ron can be AG in a few years for Vance (or Rubio). I would keep him away from SOS. Not sure where else would be a good fit.

Upside is that Vance was the dissenting voice on Iran AND believes America is not a mere economic zone, unlike Trump et al. (unfortunately his wife makes that a little awkward)

JD knows what to say to LARP as America First, I just have no idea what he believes or will do when the rubber meets the road.

Ron’s only real current flaw is his defense of Israel so hard that he made criticizing them illegal. His big mistake other than that was the challenge to Trump. He should have waited until this coming cycle to make the run for president. Ron has been a great governor and made Florida from purple to red. No one is perfect but he isn’t terribly far from it as a candidate. He can hit could short quips which is key and has good policy other than 1 issue
