The future of Curt Cignetti
Posted by Kansas City King on 1/2/26 at 11:37 am
There are 136 FBS college football programs and all 136 would drop ever dime they have available to get Curt Cignetti to become their next head coach. Does he actually stay at Indiana and turn them into a CFP power house or is it a matter of time before one of the bigger college football programs drops a big sack of cash on his desk?

My Top 5 Teams in the AFC going into Week 18 and the playoffs
Posted by Kansas City King on 12/29/25 at 2:56 pm
1. New England Patriots - Likely has this years MVP at QB. Elite offense, Elite defense. Excellent Head coach who may win his second NFL head coach of the year award.
2. Jacksonville Jaguars - Elite offense with the addition of Jacoby Meyers after trading with Vegas. Trevor Lawrence is having maybe his best NFL season ever, and hiring Liam Coen to be their head coach last off-season is a big reason why, Solid defense
3. Houston Texans - Offense has struggled, but is improving toward the end of the year when it matters most. One of the best overall defenses in the NFL
4. Denver Broncos - Good offense and even better defense with maybe the best front 7 in the NFL, but not playing their best ball towards the end of the year. They have found ways to win in tight games, but can they keep that up against playoff teams?
5. Buffalo Bills - Josh Allen always gives the Bills a chance to win and they have one of the best backs in the league this year in James Cook. However, they are banged up on defense and teams have discovered that if you shut down James Cook and force Josh Allen to throw to medicore recievers, they struggle.

I don’t have a problem with the timing of the games, just the streaming merry go round they are aired on.

The Bills now fall to the 7 Seed, right?

True, but you say that like none of the hotels on the Missouri side will be used for Chiefs games.

Also, keep in mind that the airport and most of the hotels are on the Missouri side, so technically most of the travel revenue for Chiefs game will still go to Missouri for visiting fans
The Chiefs' new kansas stadium deal is historically lopsided

The Chiefs' new Kansas stadium deal is historically lopsided. While the state provides $3B in funding, the team keeps 100% of revenue. Even their $7M rent goes into a fund they control for operations. Kansas bears the massive cost, while the Chiefs keep all the profit.
After Missouri taxpayers voted no on a proposal that would have provided the Chiefs with hundreds of millions in public funding to renovate Arrowhead Stadium, the team is relocating a few miles across state lines to Kansas.
This is one of the largest stadium deals in NFL history, with a record amount of public funding, so I spent this morning reading through the entire 33-page term sheet.
Here are 25 of the most interesting details I discovered:
The Chiefs will receive $1.8 billion in public funding for a new $3 billion stadium in Kansas — the largest public subsidy ever for a U.S. sports stadium project.
The Chiefs’ new stadium will have about 65,000 seats. That’s 10,000 fewer seats than Arrowhead Stadium, likely leading to more luxury suites and premium clubs.
The state will own the stadium and then rent it back to the Chiefs. The Chiefs will be required to pay $7 million in rent during the first year, with rent payments escalating annually by the greater of 2% or the rate of inflation (CPI). However, the rent money doesn’t really go to the state, which I’ll explain in a second.
The Chiefs must occupy the new stadium for 30 years. Once the initial term is complete, the Chiefs will have six 5-year options to renew their lease. If the Chiefs exercise all renewal options, the potential occupancy term is 60 years.
The Chiefs will retain 100% of revenue from stadium operations (tickets, concessions, parking, suite sales), naming rights and sponsorships, personal seat license sales, mixed-use development operations, and team headquarters and practice facility operations. The government has the contractual right to veto any naming rights or sponsorship deal, but only if it falls within specific categories, such as tobacco, vaping, adult entertainment, firearms, or political entities.
The state will receive one complimentary suite within the stadium. If that suite becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond the Chiefs' control (e.g., the World Cup or Super Bowl), the team must provide the state with a comparable suite. The state will cover all food and beverage expenses inside its suite.

If the cuck pieces of shite in kansas want to use their tax payer money to pay for the construction of a new stadium for the 25 billion dollar Hunt family that owns the Chiefs, go for it. We good over here.
