Your TikTok knowledge of the Bible is astounding lol. Jesus was a Jew and he kept all the Commandments. The only man who ever has. He was a radical because he questioned the commitment and authority of the Jewish leaders, nothing more. Wealth redistribution is utter nonsense and laughable. “A man who doesn’t work doesn’t eat” and “anyone who doesn’t provide for their family is worse than a non believer”. Taking care of widows and orphans which Jesus spoke of is the responsibility of the Church not the government. Equality in Christianity is spiritual not financial or social meaning once you become a Christian all are equal spiritually in Christ. Being envious of others or their wealth is in direct contradiction to Christ’s teachings, in fact you are to be content whether rich or poor. I could dissect your other ignorance but that is on you. Ignorance isn’t an excuse, in fact Jesus went above and beyond the Law of Moses

LOL, who is upset? Just had to take a moment to squash your statement.

Jesus flipped the tables in the temple primarily to protest the exploitation of the poor and the commercialization of sacred space
His actions directly addressed several specific issues:
Unfair Exchange Rates: Pilgrims traveling to Jerusalem needed to exchange foreign currency for the specific temple currency required to pay the religious tax. Money changers took advantage of this by charging steep, predatory exchange rates.
Price Gouging: Worshippers were required to offer animal sacrifices, but the temple merchants purposely rejected animals brought from outside, forcing people to buy overpriced doves and lambs right on-site.
Blocking Non-Jews: This commerce was taking place in the Court of the Gentiles—the only designated area of the temple where non-Jews were permitted to pray. By turning the space into a noisy, crowded marketplace, religious leaders were effectively preventing foreigners from worshipping.
Reclaiming Holy Ground: Quoting from the Old Testament, Jesus condemned this behavior by declaring they had turned His Father's house of prayer into a "den of robbers".

Hmm one can be agnostic and still vote mostly for conservatives. I really don't see the connection between religion and politics. Once can be a Christian and be any party. This is silly.

Paul said these things, not Jesus.

I don't think you understand liberal beliefs or Jesus.

That's like asking someone when did they stop beating your wife.

Oh Paul said them lol another ignorant Christian. So which parts of the Bible will you be removing since “Paul” said them? By your logic, get rid of the first five books of the Old Testament because Moses wrote them. The Gospels are wrong because they were written by four different men. Acts needs to be removed because Luke was just making things up. Revelation was written by John, it should be ignored. All the teachings of Jesus should be summarily dismissed because it’s just heresy from other men who heard some stuff. IF you are a Christian, on the day of Judgement assuming you believe it, and you stand before God what will you say? “Oh golly God you know I didn’t really want to follow your teachings because Paul wrote them and they were too hard so I just believed the ones that fit my personal preferences”.

Really? I am not surprised at the Biblical ignorance of supposed Christians but I will help you understand. “Shall we continue in sin so that grace may abound? Certainly not, we who alive in Christ are dead to sin”

quote:I agree that one cannot continue in known unrepentant sin and be saved, because if one is saved, then they have the Holy Spirit which will convict them of sin.
First of all you cannot remain deep in sin and be saved, that is made abundantly clear by Paul so that is factually incorrect nor can you set aside your faith simply because you have certain political viewpoints. This is the main issue with a lot American Christians, they no very little about the Bible and parrot nonsense about a “personal relationship” with Jesus.
My point was more to the fact that we are not saved by our good works. Good works are a sign of our salvation, not the cause of it. Therefore, just as many conservative Christians might have erroneous views and struggle with different sins, so, too can more liberal Christians. All have a responsibility to repent of sin and seek to have their erroneous beliefs corrected by Scripture.
I also agree with the criticism of the Christian on an island, where all that matters is that you have a "personal relationship with Jesus" and there is no obligation for more. I agree that that isn't what is taught in the Scriptures, but we are saved by Christ alone through a personal faith, but we are saved into the Church of Jesus Christ and community of believers.
