US choked on so many Gold medals. Should have way more. List below:

Men's 4 x 100 meter where we literally couldn't hand a stick to another man
Sha'Carri Richardson finished silver in 100 m but odds were like -700 going into it
Shelby McEwan literally had gold offered to him as an option but declined it
Mondo Duplantis shunned the country that gave him everything in life and decided to compete for another country that I believe he's never lived in. I don't give a shite if he went to my Alma Mater, he ditched the country. Our tax dollars paid for him to go LSU.
Noah Lyles another sure -500 or higher odds to win 200 m finishes bronze (says he had Covid, but who knows what the real story is)
Many Gold medal matches where US lost by 1 point
I'm sure others can comment other events we should've won as heavy favorites or messed something up last second
Overall, US should have at least 43 if we had 90 IQ or higher and grateful athletes
I'm most disappointed with Shelby McEwan and Mondo Duplantis as they made the conscious decision to cost the US gold.

Watching people melt over this never ceases to be amusing.

Like how our tax dollars paid for him to get an athletic scholarship to LSU

You’re such a pathetic little person. You’re likely not the third best in your family at wiping your butt, yet you feel entitled to call out world class athletes for finishing second or third in the world in their event.
Regarding Duplantis, he definitely made the best decision for himself.
Regarding the high jumper…F*#k a tie. He didn’t go to Paris to tie. He did his best and he came up short.
You ain’t sh!t, and you have no call to say anything to these great athletes other than, “thank you so much for giving your all and representing the USA!”

How about his first 22 years of life? Lafayette High? LSU?

He and his father got offered a sweet deal. You would drag up if they were paying $2 more per diem down the road.
He fulfilled his commitment for his scholarship.
Is it disappointing? Yes. Is making the most of your financial opportunities something I will begrudge someone? No.

Idk where you saw Richardson at -700, she was like -150 going into the games and I think she was about even money just before the race.

you are such a miserable little turd...

And also, why don’t you do the same thing for China? I’m sure they were close a few times.

How can we not when gold in break dancing? Where was ozone, turbo and special K. ?

I know man, it’s so disappointing. This is the first olympics we have had upsets. Other teams never have them either. Shame on America. 122 medals and counting, but that’s not good enough.

Not to mention, she dusted the field to anchor the 4x100, winning gold

People often only look at the close calls that hurt them but not the ones that help them.
Nevin Harrison lost by 0.01 seconds. I’m sure it’s no relief to her that Noah Lyles won by that same margin, but for us fans, it’s the breaks of the game.
On these photo finishes, you win some and you lose some. I think we were close to 50/50, though we lost a more than that in swimming.
But I don’t see how anyone can cal that a choke job.

I think it’s legit to say that swimming was a little disappointing….the haul in track was historical even with Richardson and Lyles not winning gold in their signature events.
I think beach volleyball was a slight disappointment as well although it turns out both the teams that beat each US team were on the podium.

Don't forget Gump's selfishness in the HJ.

Unfortunately this has been a problem for far too long

That was going to be a tough race, wasn’t a choke at all.

Mondo Duplantis
Wasn’t exactly a surprise he was representing Sweden
