It’s not just missing the tourney. They are 9-18 in the SEC. I don’t think anyone realizes how bad of record that is at a place like LSU

So are you saying you’d like to fire Jay Johnson? Just wanted to get clear on what you’d like to have happen.

Nobody here has called for JJs head.

The appropriate words are outlier and coincidence about this season and he gets a mulligan for the nattys.

It’s also appropriate to say if this happens again next year it’s a pattern where some difficult choices MIGHT have to be made.

Dumb dumb posters are saying #2 is true because #1 is not true (the excellent program part)

I would. His SEC record over 5 years is more indicative of the level of coach he is than his one lucky post season run last year. This is LSU. You can’t go 78-68 in the conference and even remotely think that’s acceptable. This guy needs Skenes/Crews/Morgan/Tanks level talent to be great. He’s not getting that anymore. If we were getting that level of talent each year, I’d be more confident. But we aren’t.

Boy I hope you’re a troll. The alternative is scary for you.

Saban also quit when college sports turned into what it is currently.

Fans have a right to be upset.

All fans? Or just the ones who monetarily support the program? Is this an inalienable right endowed on them by their creator?

The season certainly was less than enjoyable.

I'm pretty sure he was one of the guys who wanted Vitello at LSU and thought we made a mistake hiring Jay. He thinks Jay is another Lemonis, compared his Natties to Eli winning a Super Bowl. So, worse than a troll, an invested idiot.

I had a massive Mississippi State booster point blank tell me that LSU fans have no idea and every program, including them, would trade the last 4 seasons with LSU.
It is really simple.
This group’s was closer to making it than people think. The data is there.
If Skenes or Eyanson or Floyd are injured, they would have been in a world of hurt. You have to get through losing players is true with every program, just not your best or one or multiple of them.

No we arent. We want to field a competent team. Its one thing to have a dip in talent. Its another thing of what we are seeing this year. Jay is a great coach and has won 2 of the last 3 Championships. But having a team this bad is unacceptable.

"You are SPOILED!!!"
Absolutely.

Johnson went to the CWS 2016 & 2021 and 2023 & 2025 with 2 different teams. Not good enough for low lite's.
Yetskie has been there 6 different times with 4 different teams.

Right, but I don't agree with many already turning on Jay. There's nobody else you should want looking to bounce back after a disappointing season.

I also don't agree with the idea of a down season being embarrassing. Not off a Natty.

Do you think had Brown, Moore and Evans not happened this team wouldn’t have won 4-6 more games?
Some of you are living in fantasy land. It is a tail of 2 seasons and the information is in front of you if you open your eyes and try to understand. When they had somewhat better pitching, they didn’t have the offense. When they have the offense, the pitching crapped the bed.
They lost confidence on both sides of the table.
Moore absolutely was their most consistent starter with excellent experience on the mound.
Brown was their best hitter.
The freshman were pressing early on and Johnson lost confidence in them when he did play them. Second base has been an issue. Then there were the adjustments at the catcher position.
LSU is a LOT closer to being good than they are from being terrible. Look closer at run differential on both sides.

He's been ranting all day. This morning it was "CJJ is fraud". Makes one wonder if CJJ tagged his mommy or boyfriend.
