Why transcode at all though? I only remux for live tv because the proxy is not reachable from external.
its for the unwashed masses using all manner of plex clients who have trouble getting my stuff to play.

updating as we speak.
sooo, holy CRAP i'm an absolute moron. i stood this server up 2 or 3 years ago after getting it on an employee deal. thought i knew what i was doing.
so after realizing frigate was not really going to work with everything i have going on (plex server, torrents, etc) i put another 16GB in this morning and bumped it up to 32GB.
set up a ramdisk with 8GB to offload all plex transcoding (YOU'RE WELCOME HALF THE TECH BOARD WHO STREAMS MY MEDIA) and i casually asked AI a question about one of my 2 1TB SSD drives i've been offloading most of my processing work and AI was like....uh....what? you dont have 2 1TB SSD drives even though you named them that :lol:

yes, friends you got it. i've been crippling HA and plex and my virtualbox by running that all off a mechanical drive i *THOUGHT* was SSD.
anyway so i just finished rebuilding everything and using the one SSD i *DO* know that i have which is what is runnning Windows and program files. luckily there was still plenty of room but how stupid do i feel right about now?
