If what they propose happens with wanting to launch rockets everyday, building a refinery on location and basically building a city down there, it will change the course for neighboring parishes like Acadia, Jeff Davis, Lafayette, Iberia etc. The economic boom will be lasting for the whole area.

The last direct hit was Barry it was weakening Cat 1 and the only other one was Hurricane Lili in early 2000. Rita, Laura, Delta were more of a Cameron Parish direct hit. Vermilion Parish has actually been spared for the most part the last 30 years. I’m confident they will build the infrastructure plenty strong enough for the next hurricane that comes through.
Yep whoever will have the dirt work contract will get generational wealth but it can be done just gonna take a lot of work

I know there’s gonna be push back but I really think this is gonna great locally. Vermilion parish just hit the lottery because most of the land is marsh land that isn’t good for anything, but hunting and even the duck hunting has gone to shite the last few years. It’s gonna be really cool watching launches.

I don’t see Toronto getting a team with Buffalo right across the border. Toronto supports the Bills faithfully. Montreal would be cool if they got one.

I turned on the tv for lunch and saw Nicaragua and DR playing. Nicaragua has a kid throwing 83mph which is equivalent to 108 MLB pitch. Just insane to see a 12 year old throwing that hard. I know there’s been some flamethrowers over the past years but still incredible.

Skip is liked by everyone. Dale has tarnished his legacy a bit with some of the things he’s said over the past decade or so.
Yordan is the best player in present day baseball and it’s not even close
