The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has long been a joke, but this year may be the worst ever

I like Jack White, but the White Stripes are not a HOF group.
Neither is OutKast or Joe Cocker. Bad Company is questionable, but I can accept it. Chubby Checker has been eligible for 40 years yet never got in until now. Cyndi Lauper? lol.
Soundgarden is a good one.

He's definitely held a dick in his mouth until the swelling went down.
re: The Blank Slate Lie

Who believes that anyone is a "blank slate?"
With few exceptions, that is completely untrue.
No idiot should ever be taught algebra, or chemistry.
There should be a screening process, and people should be routed into trades and other basic, vocational curriculums.
If you don't want little Johnny in auto shop, you can pay to send him to private school.

re: 11 shot and 1 dead in Myrtle Beach mass shooting over the weekend. No news coverage.

I could've written a newspaper article about what happened, based on this tidbit of info alone.

re: Allman-Betts Family Revival in NOLA on April 30. Great show!
Posted by Bjorn Cyborg on 4/28/25 at 11:36 am
I saw it on their 2024 tour. One of the best concerts I've ever been to.
I'm sure the New Orleans version will be great as well. Wish I could make it.

Can't tell you how many times I left my card at Bogie's on a Saturday, and it was closed Sunday, and I had no way to eat because I didn't carry cash and couldn't go to Capital One on Sunday's.
There's lots of stories about being a broke college student in this thread, but I don't think that really qualifies for the OP's question.
Also, if you are going out drinking at bars, you are not "broke"

You can't air employee grievances on national television and also call yourself a journalist.
Keep that shite in private.

The serving sizes listed on foods are a complete scam to game the calorie listing requirements.

re: Why Are A Disproportionate Percentage of Legal Professionals Degenerate Scumbags?
Posted by Bjorn Cyborg on 4/25/25 at 3:23 pm
1. The barrier to entry to being an attorney is low, resulting in a lot of people becoming lawyers, many of them unqualified.
2. Because there are too many of them, some become dishonest to make money.

I can already barely go out on my back patio without getting eaten alive by mosquitoes.
