What is the best metal song of all time?
Posted by Bjorn Cyborg on 4/17/26 at 9:19 pm
I won’t be the genre police, so define “metal” how you want.
For what I consider the true metal bands, I think Symphony of Destruction by Megadeth is the best.
You take a mortal man
And put him in control
Watch him become god

Depends on what options she chose.
I doubt she chose the “keep me in the freezer and pretend I’m alive” option.

That’s not how pensions work.

I know nothing about the case, but you either do the bidding of your superiors, or you quit. That's how it should be in private business and in government.
Sure, you can make the case why your boss is wrong. But after it has been established what your orders are, you obey or leave.

Yes, as a lack of a cell phone or high speed internet is considered a symptom of poverty today. Or luxury food items.

So the dude broke multiple laws while here AND let his student visa lapse?
Newsweek can drudge up some sympathetic case, but this guy ain't it.

There is no possibility of a eutopian society where everybody has plenty, r at least thinks they have plenty. Some will always have more than others. In the US the. “poor” are often obese from consuming too many calories while having free housing, healthcare, groceries, etc. They also have free access to internet along with cell phones and big screen TV’s., yet they are “poor”.
Poverty is unsolvable because it is categorized as the lowest economic rung based on certain percentages. There will always be a bottom percentage group no matter what.

Amazing that as the day when we don’t need as many people to work just begins to dawn all Western governments import millions of unskilled immigrants.
Yea, we are having two conflicting conversations:
1. What will we do with all the unskilled labor when AI takes over and creates mass unemployment?
2. Let's bring in millions of laborers that we cannot support now, much less in the future.
Makes no sense.

re: MN County DA issues arrest warrants for two ICE agents.
Posted by Bjorn Cyborg on 4/16/26 at 4:03 pm to Night Vision
Apparently no one, or very few people, actually listened to the video and are just reacting to the headline.
If, and that's a big if, the DA is giving an accurate recount of the situation, the ICE agents were in the wrong and should not be defended.
I'm not saying they should be arrested by Minnesota cops, but they should at least be reprimanded and suspended by ICE.
They were apparently driving an unmarked vehicle on the shoulder and pulled a gun and pointed it at another vehicle they thought was impeding their path, after the car had gotten out of the way.
That's not cool. We can't defend them when they are doing their jobs legally, if we can't call them out when they are not.

Last Friday at Overton Park, Memphis police arrested two teenagers. Investigators say Marco and Marico Moore had stolen guns in their waistbands. One had a device added to make it function like a machine gun. Both young men are now out on bond.
Can’t find what their bond was. But it had to be extremely low for these two teenagers to meet it.
Liberals love to yell about gun control, but don’t do anything about it when given the chance.
I doubt these two serve any time

Maybe. Not aware of it.
