It would make some waves if Mary Decker were in there somewhere. Oscar de la Hoya too. My guess is Magic Johnson or Caitlyn Jenner. Outside chance Greg Louganis.

Magic is a real contender

Kurt Angle should be in the final relay. We can joke about his WWE/TNA tenure, but the fact remains that he wrestled and won a gold medal for the US with a broken freaking neck

It is too soon for anyone who starred this century so that leaves Biles, Phelps, Alison Felix, etc. out this time. Janet Evans handed the torch to Ali.
It is going to be someone from the 70s or 80s. The 70s standouts are Mark Spitz, Jenner, and Sugar Ray Leonard. I don't think it will be them although Jenner may touch the torch because...you know.
In the 80s there is Carl Lewis, Jackie Joyner Kersee, Edwin Moses, Evelyn Ashford, Greg Louganis, and Mary Lou Retton. I'm probably leaving a few out like Michael Jordan (84 gold).
All of them should touch the torch, but the final bearer has to be Carl as long as he promises not to sing the national anthem.
