so we would only be gaining 3-4 home games a year.

Wonder if such deals preclude yall from playing at Miley…

Good luck GOP handling the 5th column in your ranks. More than sure most will select the best possible GOP candidate for the general election.
Didn't Democrats vote in the 2016 R primaries and prop up Trump thinking he was an easy win for Hillary?

It’s so John Curtis it hurts.

All the Catholic League schools now are making deals with local recreational parks… Mount Carmel plays softball at Bertolino, Chapelle at Butch Duhe, and Dominican at Harahan

Thing about Harahan Playground is that they have like no foul territory

Btw with the Shrine on Airline being renovated, they’re throwing it back to the old days and Bertolino will host at least the Chalmette-John Curtis game in week 10 next fall. Rummel is playing us at Yenni

How many times have we had teams go undefeated and they either didn’t get invited or were completely left out?

I mean if you didn’t get in you probably didn’t deserve it
Shook my house… luckily no one is hurt and there were no offsite impacts

Exactly It’s not like they were being courted by a bunch of private schools.

In some areas kids are, or if a kid is good enough, he’ll have national interest

it’s been showing me photos of 8th graders who have “committed” to play HS ball…at a public school where they are zoned.

Who were they recruiting against

Like there is some guiding force behind the curtain orchestrating all this.

Why do you think Saudi has tried to get into sports like they have
We’re gonna go with option 3… Landry needs to cut Fields in some kind of way and the incumbent R’s want solid safe districts

Why haven’t the conservative college players boycotted this:

I mean they pretty much have… no one up there is even a factor

Nunez just announced their own on campus baseball facility to be built within the next two years. They have invested in baseball on top of recruiting almost exclusively from South LA. A vast majority of those kids are within driving distance. Which brings parent/grandparent support. For a program in it's 9th season, they are already competitive with Delgado. Just shows what could be done with the right coach and buy in at BRCC.

Nunez got a dude in the SEC now, Ira Austin at Kentucky

The secret ingredient: local government support

St Bernard Parish government signed over a huge plot of land to them which used to be where our hospital was and where the new stadium will be built… and St Bernard Parish school board and Chalmette High let them use Suarez stadium for basically nothing…

the bigger question is how does the school administration and coaches address and plan for the possibility of a player strike. Just the talk and uncertainty of such an event would be extremely disruptive to a football program.

Strike? They should be locking these dudes out

do you honestly think the Barbe Baseball HC would let his star players miss his district games for a 7 on 7 football showcase during baseball season?

Do you know how meaningless the regular season is for them? Who cares what they do in district, state is basically them vs the field every year

Not sure how a team that goes 7-11 in the ACC has an argument to why they should be int he tournament to crown the national champion.

Are they one of the best 76? That’s their argument

Votto led the league in BB 5x. He is 2nd all time amongst 1B in BB behind Bagwell. It’s hard to accumulate hits when you are walking

Whoever said a walk was as good as a hit, couldn’t hit…

(Yes that used to hang on the wall at Grand Slam USA in Elmwood)

They could probably win a couple games like the Pacers did

Hey once you get to game 7, anything can happen…

As the Pacers found out

Local kids with any talent would rather get out of dodge and go to Mississippi jucos than say they go to BRCC.

Dudes are going to Nunez and they’re competing, why couldn’t they go to BRCC?

They have no idea what goes into making game night a fun experience.

The players ARE the experience

Otherwise it would be the G League

you squeak into the playoffs at the bottom three or so years in a row and get blasted out without winning a game and the fans will still want you gone.

Depends on who you are

Anthony Edwards is likable? Dude knocked up some chick and offered her 100K to have an abortion, then bragged about having enough money to cut a check to cover all the child support at once. Sounds like a standup guy.

He’s American. Others are not
