Which seems more plausible: Extra-Terrestrial or Extradimensional beings visiting?

Knowing the vastness of space and the limitations of physics when it comes to interstellar travel, is it more plausible that the "Aliens" are coming from our galaxy, or from another dimension?
It makes more sense to me that other civilisations would figure out how to cross over dimensions before figuring out how to travel faster than light enough to bypass light-years.

Another dimension by far. Intelligent life on other planets does not exist.

There are estimated to be 200 billion to 2 trillion galaxies, making the number of stars far greater than)]LINK[/link]
That's a shite ton of planets not to have any life on them.

Any extraterrestrial beings capable of visiting would of necessity be able to bend time and space.

Not if they’re going Warp 8 and using the Worm Hole Effect.
