He was joined by Florida Department of Transportation Secretary Jared Perdue at the FDOT District 1 headquarters in Bartow. DeSantis discussed plans for vertiports, which could transport people short distances by air. He said the technology is new and in its early stages, but Florida aims to build two vertiports at an FDOT testing facility. DeSantis described the concept as an “air version of an Uber,” with each vertiport accommodating four to five people.
“This will be the nation’s first advanced air mobility test track, and it will have dedicated airspace driving innovative research and development for this new technology,” DeSantis said. Florida Department of Transportation Secretary Jared Perdue said he and Gov. Ron DeSantis saw prototypes of vertiports at the Paris Air Show. The project is on schedule to receive federal approval sometime in 2026.

i'm not saying UNO should be some sort of great school with a vibrant and bustling campus... but it should definitely be a lot better than it is now
What?? Why would you put a limit on success? What you’re basically saying is I don’t want it to be better than mediocre.
re: Why not combine DST and Standard time?

Hawaii and Arizona are not breaking the law. Federal law allows states to not do daylight saving time (observe standard time year round).
However, federal law does not allow states to do daylight saving time year around.

Seattle is not gonna get a relocated team. They’re gonna get an expansion team. The NBA wants to get $5 billion per expansion team. They can get that out of Seattle and Las Vegas, but not many other places.
So if the same situation was happening at the end of the fourth quarter you would say the Raiders theoretically need to go for two to avoid going to overtime?
3 out of 4 games are 30+ pt losses

What in the actual frick.

Just move Louisiana and any central time zone areas that want year round DST to Eastern Standard Time, and if any East Coast States want Year round DST, they move to Atlantic Standard time. So essentially you have year round DST without having to change the law in observing year round DST.
Your state just has to get the transportation secretary to approve it.
“Eastern standard time” is not the name of the time zone. It’s the “Eastern Time Zone”. You’re either on eastern standard time or eastern daylight time. But not both.

So, he was worth an unprotected pick?
Do you realize how many top 10 NBA picks have been shitty in the last 25 years? I don’t, but I would venture to say over a hundred.

The island has already gotten a lot of rain (loosens the soil) and a day or two of 20-40 mph winds to weaken trees. This is going to be insane. Hope it landfalls in an unpopulated area.
