And of the three teams in the trade, we were the ones who took on the most salary :lol:
There are three things you are supposed to avoid when making a trade:
- Make your roster older
- Make your roster more expensive
- Make your roster worse
You can still have a good trade by ignoring the first two if it means your roster got significantly better, but AA said frick all that, give me Sean Murphy.

Dude came off a World Series and turned a roster that had an MVP-caliber anchor in the middle of a young core and made sure to systemically break it apart year after year on a consistent basis.
It's why I laugh at the people wanting to get rid of Ronnie. All it means is that AA will try to replace him with a Lane Thomas or Yaz type and try to gaslight the fanbase into thinking he's a genius.

Good for Yaz to get on base and keep the inning alive, but he still go mid-contact on a hanging curveball.
