Tickets have been brought for the showdown just struggling on where to stay. Does anyone have any good suggestions? Currently looking at Batesville or Southhaven since I will be flying into Memphis. Thanks for the feedback! GEAUX TIGERS

I’d choose Batesville over Southaven I think. Southaven has sketchy areas. You could also try Olive Branch.

The closer you are the more dollars you better have. It’s insane if staying in Oxford.

Also — depending on game time, if you’re planing to go back to Memphis, the Germantown area is good.

When I went in 2003 for the game against Eli we stayed in Tupelo.
Got a chance to check out Elvis’s birthplace What’s funny was that the Ole Miss team stayed at the same hotel we did

We have been there, to LSU-OM games, maybe 7 times. We always stay in Tupelo. Easy in and easy out and away from most traffic.

Try Tupelo and Pontotoc first then Batesville. Trust I work the entire state of Mississippi and I would even consider East Memphis like Collierville as well as Olive Branch. Hernando is a good choice as well

We drove up I-55 and stayed in Batesville then drove over the day of the game. Lots of places to eat and rooms in Batesville. I remember the Days Inn off I-55. There was a good steak place there as I recall.

I would go Batesville. Easy drive to Oxford. Pretty good restaurant selection to be as big as it is. The Hampton Inn is pretty decent.

Stayed at a nasty Comfort Suites in Greenwood back in 23’. A little over an hour south of Oxford. Right off the interstate. Not a bad drive though. Was overpriced AF. Got so pissed at that BK/Matt House defense I ended up getting my stuff and driving all the way back to BR. Can’t even imagine the prices of anything near Oxford for this year

Lane Kiffin's return to Oxford on September 19 will kickoff at 6:30 p.m. CT at Vaught Hemingway Stadium, ABC announced this week.

Air bnb or Tupelo. Batesville is fine.

went in 2019 and me and a couple of friends found a 3 bedroom condo from Thursday-Monday that was walking distance to campus. A little more than hotel, but one had a son there and I brought my son up. At the end of the day it might have been cheaper than the hotel.

Think I might be leaning towards Batesville with all the recommendations. The only reasonable hotel near Oxford is the Comfort Suites in Batesville. All Airbnbs in Oxford start at $2K for Friday-Sunday

Gotta Laugh! Checked Expedia's Oxford site for Thu - Sun LSU game weekend, and 90%+ Vrbo listings are for $18k

I guess you can truly say "It's their Super Bowl game"!

Oxford has ridiculous prices during games. I just had a relative graduate from there. You will have to go and stay a little ways away in whichever direction for decent rates

Hotels are ungodly expensive in Oxford on game nights….as everywhere else in the SEC.

I would since you are flying into Memphis, I would stay at Southaven….holiday Inn on Marathon Way. That is close proximity to Oxford and the airport in Memphis.

Tupelo is a damn nice town, but it is the wrong direction from Memphis.

batesville is a shithole, but it has a decent Hampton Inn on the interstate.

Grenada is too far to travel from Memphis, but is a good place to stay if your are driving from BR,

How pathetic is it that they don’t even stay in Oxford when they have a home game?

Come on. This has gone too far. These people have lied about ole miss and Oxford forever. The national audience sort of bought it thanks to Lane.

Ole miss and Oxford is a total joke.
