People will downplay Richardsons loss but she absolutely choked
How did she choke? Alfred ran the second fastest 100m of the year for women.

She was the favorite and she blew it. Everything was in place for her big redemption arc after some pretty bad low iq decision making and she just couldn’t get it done.

So you’re just gonna ignore the fact that Alfred ran a great race.
I know facts aren’t your thing but if Richardson losing because she didn’t run the best time of the year is choking, then every Olympian who didn’t perform the best time or distance of the year in their event also choked.

I don’t know. We won some no one was expecting too. Hocker in the 1500m, women’s road racing are two that come to mind. Must be others too. That’s the way sports work sometimes. Swimming is a disappointment and didn’t we used to be good at diving? What happened there? Otherwise, it’s hard to be too disappointed.

As the favorite, was Richardson expected to not run a great race?

The OP and many others on this board are idiots. They’ve never competed for anything serious in their lives and are too dumb to realize that not every competition ends exactly the way sports books say they should end.

Now do the gold medals we weren't expected to win but pulled it off like fencing and cycling among others.

I’d say winning a silver medal means that she did indeed run a pretty good race.

So as the favorite in an Olympic final event, she was expected to run a “pretty good race” ?

You’re one of the most ignorant posters on this website, which is really saying something.

I said what I said and will stand by it. People here will get butthurt because he went to LSU and from Lafayette, but if he were from Minnetonka Minnesota and went to University of Minnesota, they'd be saying the exact same thing I'm saying.
I don't know the reason he ditched the US team. I personally would never ditch if I were at that level if my Mom were from England, and Pole Vault for the English. Just wouldn't do that. Not who I am.
I don't know him. I don't owe him allegiance just like he showed no allegiance to his country.

You’re such a pathetic little person. You’re likely not the third best in your family at wiping your butt, yet you feel entitled to call out world class athletes for finishing second or third in the world in their event.
This is overreactive. People get pissed everyday if their team doesn't perform. If an LSU DB lets up a TD or Saints blow a game. People have the right to have fandom over a country/team, and if someone or something adversely effects them, I and they can say whatever they want.
What's worse about this situation is that it was a determined situation to ditch the US. At least if you lose a game, it's not like the players wanted to lose. He wanted to not rep the US. It was a conscious decision.
Go to TR and look at the in game thread when we lose or when a player transfers out or a 17 year old HS recruit decommits from LSU to go to TAMU because he's getting paid more there. Duplantis is 25 or so.

$2 more per diem lol. I make 200k at under 35 plus equity in the company.
If you think what I'm saying is bad, you should go to TR and see what they say if LSU loses a commit because TAMU pays more money. And those are 17 year old kids. Duplantis is 25.

Kudos to Obtuse. He made you respond with an even douchier post than the OP.

So you admit ignorance of the situation, yet still have a strong opinion of it. That’s classic TD

he were from Minnetonka Minnesota and went to University of Minnesota,

Your point is understandable. I have wondered if his LSU ties are making this a more emotional issue here. (Again, that would also be understandable.)
