Posted this in an AT&T thread on the OT

I bit on the low price at my office. Super low price, and he told me that two Internet Airs would give me fiber speeds. No ATT fiber yet at my office.
Told me they'd come back and set it up. Never showed even though the boxes came in two days later. Set it up myself and It totally sucked, no where close to fiber optic speeds.
So I canceled, and ATT said they would send return boxes with return numbers. Boxes never showed, ATT support told me to return them to UPS and it would be ok
Weeks later they said they never got them and they are charging me two fvcking grand! even though I have shipping receipts with UPS.
Customer support was rude, and after 15 minutes she testily told me I had to go to an ATT store to get it straightened out

Most people have no idea how food poisoning works and incorrectly blame it on the last meal they ate before they got sick.
Fact that it takes the bug almost 12 hours to overwhelm your body's defense mechanisms.
So you blame it in the shrimp dip you ate 2 hours earlier, when the fact is it has to be those eggs you had for breakfast

"This ensures our users will continue to have access to the vital satellite features they have come to rely on, including Emergency SOS, Messages, Find My, and Roadside Assistance via satellite, so they can stay safe and connected while off the grid."
Amazon's acquisition deal, said to be worth $11.57 billion, is expected to close in 2027, subject to the usual regulatory approvals and the achievement of specific satellite deployment milestones by Globalstar.
Bloomberg had reported in October that Globalstar was exploring a sale and had held early talks with SpaceX before the Amazon discussions emerged. As we reported earlier this month, Apple's 20 percent stake in Globalstar was said to be a sticking point in Amazon's bid to acquire the company.
Apple is working on a series of new satellite connectivity features for the iPhone which will apparently require upgrades to Globalstar's infrastructure. They include Apple Maps via satellite, photos in Messages via satellite, connectivity in indoors environments, satellite over 5G, and a satellite API for third-party apps.
