It was more that he's a lazy POS than fit.

correct. he failed with kelly and mcman. but those pay the bills! baseball and WBB do not!

I think this is a tactic to get under Brian Kelly's skin and smear his image, play on his arrogance and push him to get another coaching job so you can stop paying him. Pretty smart.

More that comes out with this guy the more I dislike him. When you piece everything together, you realize he was a slimy POS that did nothing but sit to collect a check.

This explains why he was doing PR sessions after a season on how to make a good public image. He wanted to bamboozle the general public for as long as possible to collect a check.

He thought that highly of the LSU fans that he could fool us that long.

I don’t know how Scott Woodward didn’t recognize this while vetting him.

Obviously the fans were not allowed to have their say but almost every fan on this site was onboard with the hire and defended him for years. Some of that is you just want the school to do well of course

I started a new job 2 months ago. Guy at my last job is LSU alum. After the USC game he was convinced BK had figured it out and was going to win titles there. He just said it was 2 great teams. Ended up being 2 average teams.

Josh Pate said it best, Kelly ignored the "L" in LSU.

Truth. I wanted Kelly to succeed at LSU but after the Ole Miss and Vandy games it became clear to me that he wouldn't. Thankfully LSU found the money to get rid of him.

I knew it was over before it began when BK was talking about "graduating champions".

Bruh... it's LSU, not ND.

Im willing to bet that he wasnt like this at Notre Dame. Give the guy 100 million guaranteed he realized he didnt have to do much anymore.

frick Brian Kelly. There isn't a situation where someone can say enough bad things about him as a man. He was a shitty coach and a shitty man.

Idk if there will ever be statements that I agree with more than this right here.

Brian Kelly can go spoil himself by sitting in an acid jacuzzi for all I care.

but his contract was guaranteed, so once the ink was dry, he only had to do enough to not get fired for cause to get his $100 million.

Yet another awful contract from Woodward.

Kelly thought he was God's gift to LSU football and we should all bow to him as he rode in on his white horse to rescue the program

Kiffin just seems to get it and the opportunity he has in front of him, if he puts the work in

BK was a man at retirement age who slid into a job with a $90 million contract at a place where he thought he didn't have to try hard to win. So he didnt really try. At the same time, he was an insufferable Yankee carpetbagging prick with a face like a bulldog's slapped arse. The one good move he made was getting Jayden Daniels. Otherwise, his tenure here would have been completely unremarkable and even shorter.

Everyone just conveniently forgets now that Woodward was widely considered the best AD in the entire nation when he was first hired by LSU.

This wasn't an issue of "fit" it was an issue Kelly being lazy as shite and not wanting to do any work. The comment about Saban is what the headline should be. Saban is involved in every aspect of the program Kelly only wanted to show up at practice and game days.

He dumped the Gridiron Club immediately. It was the head coaches support group. Would not come, would not send an assistant coach. Said “ I didn’t have that at Notre dame. Don’t need it.” Period.
