Nobody cares but I was very strong and heavy my freshman year of HS and was the only freshman on varsity

I was the 3rd pitcher and setup for a huge sophomore year. I decided to do this speed clinic that summer and got addicted to running. I lost 30 pounds and showed up skinny my sophomore year.

I was so dumb I didn’t realize I lost all my power and muscle. I was throwing 6 to 8 MPH slower and never got it back to where I was. I always wonder what would’ve happened if I would’ve just stayed the course and grown into my body.

He was a lot better than expected. He didn’t make errors, but I would not call him an asset at third (other than at the plate).

He had 3 errors in 105 chances for a .971 fielding percentage. No he didnt make eye popping amazing athletic plays routinely at 3B like say Braswell could the following season but in 2024 he was quite good for a college 3B.

You will find .971 fielding towards the very top for college 3rd basemen.

It's honestly one of the biggest turnaround stories defensively I've seen from an individual because he was maybe below serviceable in 2023 defensively being under .900.

Wonder if it has improved his defense as well.

My thought exactly, White ended up being a well above average college third baseman in 24.

The OP is leaving out a lot and no he’s not just a contact hitter now. He has 134ABs on the season and is hitting .313 w 2 HRs. Hes only struck out 18 times and has 9 doubles. He also hit 4 HRs in 38 ABs for the As in spring training while hitting .421. The power is definitely still there and he’s still hitting balls hard to the opposite field. He’s also been playing sons first base. Still mostly at third but he has started a handful of games at first

I sure as hell would take his defense at 3rd this season.

i didn't take his comment as being that offensive. Losing weight, my brain instantly was wondering if he's been able to use that to become a better defensive player as well.

Serious question... are you autistic?

The whole point of this thread was to be a vehicle to show Tommy's ozempic pic and you're mad that I "left a lot out"?

That's awesome. Glad to see he's doing well. I'll always remember his 2 strike batting stance that he switched to. I don't know his batting average when he did that, but it seemed to work quite well for him IIRC, considering the circumstance.

Also, I really appreciate he's wearing 2 chains in the photo after I called him Tommy "2 Chainz" Tanks for 2 years because of all the chains he wore.

He was good at 3b his last year

This get missed with him, he really improved dramatically defensively while here. He was exceptional his last year.

To calm down the OP's worries, White returned to the lineup last night and went 2/5 with a double and 2 RBIs
