Is there anything better than making people laugh?

Yesterday I went in Walgreen's to get some vitamins and that type of stuff.
Very pretty teenage black girl at the counter.
So I'm there checking out, so the system wants my phone number. I give it. there is a slight delay.
The girl at the counter says "donation?"
I said "Hell yeah, I could use one"
Wonderful watching her laugh.

I always add in a dad joke to my team’s Monday morning meetings to lighten the mood. You never know what someone may be going thru, and it’s good to see a few smiles to start the day.

My dog turns around looking for where the noise came from when she farts. We always get a good laugh out of that.

I had to work 12 days in a row prior to last weekend (I can't turn down free OT) and I was so happy to have a couple days home with the family. I made the wife n kids laugh a lot over the weekend and I was thinking back to that on Monday and it just made me happy. I especially love making my wife laugh.

I did stand up back in the 90's.... Felt pretty good being on stage when people laughed at your bit, but when you bombed, it was the longest 15 minutes of my life...

The reference reflects one’s normal and perspective.
Have family with very “narrow normals” who think anyone who speaks Spanish and carries a hammer is Mexican (don’t know where Honduras, Guatemala, or Ecuador are). They think anyone whose skin is mocha or darker is “colored”. Never met an Asian person or few Jewish people. The only religion that is possible is the one burned into them at 5yo. All others are weird, incl Catholics.
They have only lived in an echo chamber. Their desire to change that is near zero.
Life pays them far less dividends than they will ever realize.
I digress. I really need to cut down on coffee.

I have a very dry sense of humor.....perhaps borderline sarcastic.....and my friends understand it. But my oldest son has no clue, to the extent he thinks it's dumb. He told me once that I'd try to make a tree laff.
