Why would he backstop that? He got his head around and caught it with his hands. That is text book. That's always going to be a better attempt than a backstop. If you can't get your head around I get catching an over the shoulder throw that way but not if you can get your head around and locate the ball and catch it cleanly with your hands.

Agreed and also he needs to learn if the doesn't see green in front of him to keep reading the defense. There were several times he gave the read a half second and immediately looked to run even though there was no pressure on him and no where to run. It also seemed like a few of their play calls were for long developing plays and he just doesn't have the patience or the trust to hang in there for that long. They need to have a safety valve especially if all the other routes take a while to pay off.
