Vastly different situations. Not sure how anyone can compare them.

Generally speaking, they are identical. Players that were ruled ineligible by the NCAA and then sued for a TRO to become eligible. You are drawing a hard line on one versus the other is a you thing. The NCAA views them the same - ineligible except for a TRO.

I mean I'm not surprised, I still think Sankey shows some hypocritical outcomes on a number of different issues but this one makes sense. Why are we okay with players signing professional contracts and going back to school? I still wish he would have acted properly and stepped in and told Chambliss to go pro that SEC wouldn't allow him to be eligible but we are in a world where people pick and choose when to stand on principle.

Y'all act like Chris Weinke and Brandon Weeden never existed.

Noticeable silence regarding Chambliss getting an extra year

Apples and oranges

Bitching and whining that is all you are good for.

You think this guy could come in here 2 weeks before the season starts and make a difference over the guys we already have?

Depth. CB3 needs help (my opinion)

Injuries occur. 9 game SEC schedule. More in that room that can play, the merrier.

Sorry, brother, but you can't explain common sense. People either have it or they don't. Someone asking that question is either trolling or beyond reach.

Trying to get topic back on track

This is the last time I am going to address you "stay on topic" drooling morons. The easiest way to get back on topic and move on. Is to do it. Move on. There are at least twice as many interrupting posts because of idiots saying to stay on topic.

How are we feeling about RJ Luis

I think it definitely helps his case that a bunch of football players just entered the transfer portal after signing with the NFL. With that and 5 for 5 this is the best chance he was going to get. A year ago when Bediako was trying to get in he didn't have the benefit of this type of thing going on.

Clown world.

If you don’t want chaos, then you should have prepared to potentially and hopefully avoid it. SEC and other conferences are just as culpable as the NCAA.

Exaclty. They could have instituted a new rule or done something to try and prevent this. It wasn't a secret that LSU was going to try this. They announced RJ Louis a while back.

So right now we officially have 5 players.......Hopefully in a week we have at least 6. Im just glad we can actually play 5 on 5 right now lol

LINK only lists 4. I still think we will be fine come time for the season to start.

I don't even want to click on this thread because I know it's nothing but bullshite I don't want to read. Can we unpin this one and pin a new thread?

Yep it's mostly people bitching about not wanting to click on it.

Yes. I am talking about it. Sorry if that wasn’t clear. If you look at the last 20 plus pages, it’s been mostly an argument about will wade and mcmahon

to be fair there hasn’t really been a lot of news outside of RJ Luis and I guess the new PG.
It could be as simple as joining a class action suit. If the suit was started in Baton Rouge then I’m assuming other players around the country will want to join that to seek relief. I have no idea if that’s how this actually works but I guess we will find out. And I’m assuming they have attorneys that recommended this strategy.

backlash for something that never happened?

Gaslighting at its finest. What a worm.

Miller was not receptive to the same good coaching immediately denouncing the gratuitous cheap shot your friend took at McMahon.

A cheap shot? Are you his wife? Seriously, I doubt McMahon would be this offended by someone criticizing his coaching while at LSU.

These number things aren’t for the fans. It’s for the players.

Agreed. If they want to keep them going that's fine by me.

It will also be interesting to see how so many foreign players blend in with the much younger current transfers

The foreign players are 23, 23, 22, and 19. The transfers are 23, 22, 22, and 20. And then RJ is also 23. I wasn't sure if he counted as a transfer but he is certainly not a foreign player. Yes, Yam Madar is old but he isn't coming any more.
How long was your coma? 6 months? Do you know we hired Will Wade back?
Hopefully the good news start rolling in.

We would hope so, but there are concerns until the roster is expanded and finalized. There aare only eight players on the current roster and half are international players whose eligibility has not been confirmed. Even if they are deemed eligible they could not afford to lose two starters to injury / illness as occurred the last two seasons.

It will also be intersting to see how quickly half of a roster with older foreign professional players with no college experience blends with transfer players wh come from different programs some of whom were only part time role players. Its also concerning that only one player currently signed averaged double figures.

Wow. You should probably smoke some weed or something.
quote:

Yeah I can't see him being eligible. What I don't understand is the guy that was in the Army in Israel. I thought military service was one of the waivers allowed to eligible?

He was never ruled ineligible. Also, I agree. As far as I'm aware he would have been ruled eligible based on that. Some people keep pushing that he made x amount of money making him ineligible but I'm not aware of that being the main factor in other eligibility denials in practice.

how many tranlators will Will Wade have on staff?

As many as he needs.
