While I agree. I still feel like trying to field a team needing 30+ new players for depth and top end talent that’s going to be a tall task to rely that heavily on the portal. Typically the portal doesn’t have that many top end guys that can come in and contribute on the level we’re going to need them to be.

Is there an actual point? Or are you just rambling? Obviously no one team has more NIL money than 10 teams combined but that’s not how any of this works. The majority of players only get a couple hundred thousand dollars and the top end get a couple million a year all of the schools being mentioned can afford that. But a NIL budget of $25 million plus the revenue share is comparable 1 to 1 with the majority of schools in the country let alone the schools that heavily recruit Texas.

Everybody understands that. But at the same time if the running backs he recruits never develop very much past their high school level you may have to ask him to move into an analyst role and get some one in there that can actually coach them up. And if he doesn’t agree to that it’s on him.

If a position coach that isn’t even particularly that good at developing his players has your program by the balls then you don’t have a program.

That’s how run games work. Just because it says 4.9 ypc. Doesn’t mean they are a failure if they have two runs for 2 yards each. It’s an average. You don’t get to take out the best plays and pretend they didn’t happen.
The problem is we are two predictable and we don’t get very much push on the Oline. Probably because we are too predictable.

Did you even listen to what they said? He was told who to hire. There was no search. At most 1 interview. It’s insane to think a thorough search was done this fast.

That part I agree and have no problem with people being upset with the governor about. But I have seen plenty of people upset that Woodward wasn’t retained. That was never going to happen if you want to keep the big donors happy.

We had about three days where everyone was talking up how great LSU was and it got undermined by a guy who does not have and has never had LSU’s best interests at heart. Woodward made costly mistakes and that gets you fired in big business, but he cares about LSU, did good things here, and should be treated better. LSU has such a great brand but it really feels like we can never get out of our own way, the soap opera aspect is getting so tiresome to me.
I do get that part of it. He has done way more press than I would have expected. Hopefully now that Scott is gone that will be the last we hear from Landry on the matter.

I don’t understand why people are so upset about Woody being fired. The people that spend all of the money on these buyouts and NIL budgets wanted him gone. They wanted to fire MM. So they could hire Will Wade and Woody told them no. Then they wanted to fire BK and Woody told them no again. So they went to the one person that could get it done in Landry. You keep standing in the way and eventually you are going to be removed. It’s too bad but that was always going to be how that went.
