“Early reactions are useless because they’re always universally positive.”
“WHY DO YOU WANT THIS MOVIE TO FAIL GO CRY SOMEWHERE ELSE”
shite’s crazy.

“WHY DO YOU WANT THIS MOVIE TO FAIL GO CRY SOMEWHERE ELSE”
shite’s crazy.
So is continuing to post early reactions to anything.
Not every Supergirl review was an influencer, there were Rotten Tomatoes verified critics in that camp too.

Some of you are so desperate for this film to be bad. It’s so weird.
Did I say that? It’s Nolan, it will at worst be competently made. But this was literally two weeks ago:
“Early reactions” have never meant dick. I have no idea how people keep falling for them.

Rave reviews coming in. I can’t frickin wait.
“The only critic of the bunch, so far, is IndieWire’s David Ehrlich, and he seems mixed-to-positive on it, calling it “too clunky to be S-tier Nolan,” but he does like the final act.”
The rest were the typical paid shills and fanboys that these early reactions bring in.

The community note on this is also fantastic.

He is, in fact, not a pussy.

re: Worst A list actor of all time? In terms of ability to act

He's probably more B-list at this point but I've never walked out of a movie saying, "Man, Ice Cube put on an acting clinic in that one."
146 million YouTube viewers can't be wrong. :usa:

And while social media users and critics are dunking on the movie’s use of a cover of the Jimmy Eat World song “The Middle,” the big needle drop in the final set piece at the February screening was a cover version of Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.” That song choice came from Gunn, but it ultimately was abandoned for the Jimmy Eat World cover, also a Gunn choice.
What is it with this guy and his fricking needle drops? Just let the score do its job.
Chad Ochocinco explains how he saved 83% of his NFL salary

For life after football. Pretty interesting, had no idea he did this.
quote:
Shannon Sharpe: “Have you always been responsible with money?”
Ochocinco: “Always.”
“I stayed at the stadium the first two years.”
“I wasn’t gonna spend no money.”
“Everything I needed was right there.”
“Showers. Cafeteria. TV. Couch. Gaming system.”
“What’s the point of renting a house?”
“I was locked in.”
“It wasn’t about having my own space or dating.”
“I needed that first year to lock in.”
“By my third year, Marvin Lewis told me, ‘Now it’s time to spread your wings.’”
“So I got a little one-bedroom place right down the street.”
quote:
“I never bought real anything when I was playing.”
“I went to Claire’s.”
“What am I doing it for?”
“Why am I buying a $50,000 watch? An $80,000 watch?”
“What time is it?”
“How much did that cost me? Nothing. Time is free.”

They're really leaning into the anti-American stuff lately. I guess this is their strategy moving forward. I'm sure it will pay off.

Xbox's strategy is gamepass, why the hell would they push physical media. Ya'll really don't understand what they are trying to do.
Their strategy has led to a disastrous loss of market share over the past several years. Perhaps they need a new strategy.

As much as I’d love for this to happen, I don’t think Xbox will have the balls to do it.
I’d bet good money you are correct, but what a layup for Microsoft to miss. Unless they literally just can’t financially continue producing physical media, they should be all over this. That X-Box One reveal where Sony dunked on them with the “how to borrow a game” video sent their trajectory into the shitter. They now have a small crack of daylight to fight back a little and they’ll just tuck their tails and conform.

Dwayne Johnson is facing backlash for staying quiet on politics, with "Star Trek" icon George Takei telling him that "silence is complicity" and "Stand By Me" actor Wil Wheaton adding: “So disappointing to find out he is such a coward.”
Johnson told Fox News in 2024 that he regretted endorsing Joe Biden for president in 2020 because it caused division amongst his fans, adding at the time: “My goal is to bring this country together. I believe in that. There will be no endorsement. At this level of influence, I will keep my politics to myself. It is between me and the ballot box.”
The blockbuster actor expanded on his newfound aversion to political talk by telling Esquire this month: “What I have learned through experience is that I need to keep — need, not want — the main thing. And the main thing for me, the thing that in the morning I swing my legs out of bed and I run towards, is creating. It’s art. It’s storytelling. I’ve learned I’m going to keep my politics to myself. There are moments when, hey, there’s nothing we can’t talk about. If I’m wrong, I’ll tell you I’m wrong. Or if I feel like I got a leg up and this is the right way to go, I’ll share it with you. Politics is omnipresent and it’s forever. I don’t like it. I hate it at times. I hate the slinging. I hate all the bullshite that comes with it.”
