July 31, 1996: Kurt Angle defeated Iran’s Abbas Jadidi to secure the gold medal for the Red, White, and Blue…oh, and he did it all with a BROKEN FREAKIN’ NECK!

Kurt Angle didn’t beat just anyone for the gold, he defeated a world champion Iranian cheater that was in his prime.

The man also wrestled basically 1-2 weight classed over what he could have by cutting just a few lbs. But he wouldnr even cut 1 lb to drop to a smaller weight class.
