They'll probably do our society a lot more good than bad in the long run. Some cities in Arkansas installed them and got so many complaints they came out and said they are uninstalling them. I think the people most against it are the anti-government, "I don't want the government spying on me" conspiracy theory crowd. Then that snowballs in to the herd mentality social media living crowd that need someone to tell them what to think like they did with Covid and vaccines. But those people believe they are much more important than they really are. When you go out on a public roadway, you don't get privacy and whoever is in charge of the roadway can put cameras on it.
It was used in Arkansas last summer to catch a guy that randomly stabbed and killed man and wife in front of their two girls while hiking in a state park, and no saw anything except someone saw a black car and what time it left the area. The witness to the car didn't even know what kind of car it was. The state police found him in 5 days at a barber shop

My 2001 with a strong 5.4 is sitting in my yard. I still haven't decided if I want to put a third transmission in it or junk it.
Dont junk it. someone might pay 2000+ for it like it sits that already has the transmission.

re: Most impressive thing you watched your dad do

My dad worked at the railroad all his career and was cross trained in a lot of skilled trades over the years. He could do electric work, welding, auto mechanics , carpentry etc. Anything that went wrong around the house or any vehicles we had when i was growing up, he could fix. When i bought my first house which was somewhat of a fixer upper he fixed everything. Probably around my house the hardest thing i seen him fix was a garage door I tore up off the rails and couldn't fix myself. At the time I didn't think I needed him to fix anything again. He was around 60.
I seen him weld a rusted Wrangler jeep frame where the swing arm was tore off the frame.
Probably the most impressive thing i seen him do that i didn't know he could do when i was grown was back a trailer at a 90 degree angle down a 100 foot narrow ally in traffic off a city street without making any corrections real fast . The people there were like WTF.
The first amazing but scary thing I remember him do when I was about 3 or 4 years old was he'd bought a cj5 new before i was born and we were riding around one night looking at Christmas lights in the Osborne house area of Cantrell in Little Rock after a winter storm. He drove up a steep snow hill on the edge of the Arkansas river. Alot of the main roads was treated so we were in 2x4. At the time, going back home, we got off in a new hilly development. I thought we were going to end up in the river and drown b/c we were sliding backwards . When he got out and locked it in 4x4 I was afraid id never see him again. Then we went on home. Overlook Dr turning on to Timberlake Dr before it was all built to be exact on the map . As a Kid, looking at that with no trees , you think your about to die.

about 90% of these new listings especially in this line of work don't last very long. I've lost some money myself in things like this so don't feel bad.

Bill Gates also published his own vaccine documentary around November of 2019. Or if I'm wrong , he was promoting vaccines and explaining why people needed it in some obscure documentary my mom came across that she showed me around 2021 or 2022 but I remember at the time she said the documentary was from 2019.
edit ; i just texted her. She said it was on Netflix. The year we believe the documentary was made was 2019. But i think she found it after covid hysteria when they were promoting vaccines around 2021 . At the time, she wanted me to take the vaccine but I didn't want to. What was most odd to me is the doc came out before the news, and Bill Gates was a computer guy promoting something medical

re: What would you do between these Home Insurance options?
Posted by carguymatt on 7/30/26 at 11:05 pm to JOHNN
I just changed from one big carrier I was with 10plus years to another. My rate of annual 2450 with the same coverage went down to 1100 with the same deductible of 1000. I think my dwelling is covered for 320k which the house itself is only worth about 240k.
That's not your answer but i'd say weigh the options. I've been reading a few years if you shop around every few years you can get a better rate.

Part of the problem with this whole case is , not enough people have experienced boating plus party community out on water. I had a boat or had friends with boats and did this stuff every summer a few times on either the Arkansas river Little Rock island or Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs for about 10 years. I only saw a handful of blacks in all that time probably b/c they usually can't swim.
The ratio of people with experience in that exact thing vs the general public has to be like 10 to 20%. One thing that I think is overlooked is how fast the sun can wear you down being in it 4 hours when you're socializing, let alone drinking too. I've swam the area about like circling a football field a few times around boats and when I got back to the boat was a lot weaker and more light headed than I thought i'd be and I had to work to keep my head above water b/c a boat that left 5 minutes ago can push a wave over your head.

I don't know a single guy that got married because it was his idea.
Where he bought a ring and was hoping & praying she said yes.
Just curious what percentage of married men actually wanted to ger married
I'm kinda with you on your theory but I think it's more like 50/50 that the man really wanted to. But out of those it's probably another 50/50 that they figured out within a few years they made a mistake.
That has me thinking, why were the boomer dads telling their generation X kids that if they got a girl pregnant they had to marry her? That's one thing my dad always harped on when I was a teenager with me and my brother and the families we hung out with and I thought he was dumb and come to find out 10 years later I was right.

Its not cowardice, its a matter of efficiency. A police officer should not be "handling" a dog at all. If a dog is obstructing his job, kill the dog and continue the job
Good point. In this case the subject called the police to his home, probably to make a report on what happened at the bar witnesses said he was kicked out of. The cop didn't anticipate this guy to be dumb enough to let his dog run after him barking as soon as he walked up to the driveway . If this started as a vicious animal call he probably could have handled it better. He didn't have time to judge " what breed of dog is this, how old is it, how much does it weigh, is it going to bite me or just try to scare me, if a dog comes at me should i tase it, or mace it or just kill it" . It's common sense to shoot the dog in that scenario

Yea he's not the owner. The owner is some energy tycoon lady in Houston. She's the first person he called right after the dog got shot. "MARGO, MARGO a frickin policeman just shot Ammo in the head!"
And he only pays 2k per month according to court docs . He must have some arrangement with her.

In my career as a Mailman if I shot and killed all of the dogs that came at me while working there would be dozens and dozens of dead dogs. Some people should not be given a gun if they can't handle a lab coming at them, smh.
In your expert opinion on a matter like this, would you say your job was to go door to door or box to box and be there for a couple seconds and move on, and a cops job is to walk in to dangerous situations all the time and usually they don't anticipate loose aggressive dogs coming out of the shadows?

I probably wouldn't mess with her unless she's over 5'9 with a real nice butt and that wouldn't be for long. She looks like she's too far messed up in the head
