After 2 games, not a single batter has asked of "time out" while the pitcher is about to make his next pitch.
As part of the new rules, is this no longer allowed? I never liked that a batter could stop the play when ever he wanted to.

I don't mind a 4 hour game, if my team is scoring 20 runs or something. Anyone who's too impatient to have fun with that is a wuss. And while the rules have sped things up, the games won't always be this fast, because there won't usually be this little offense. At least not from our side. The bats are kind of sleepy out of the gate.

It's a joke, dude. Because certain people think everything is racist now. That's the joke. It's not hard.

Don’t know if it’s part of new rules but watched highlights of the Arizona-Tennessee game and a UT batter was screaming for time and it went un-granted. Umpire just shrugged his shoulders.

Umpires are not supposed to allow time to a batter with less than 5 seconds left in the pitch clock. That was the issue on that one.

Thanks. Reminded me of Jared Mitchell against Irvine.

Skip wouldn't have been to the White Lines in 30 Seconds....They could have relined the field on some of his mound visits.

I’m fine with the new rules and am all for picking up the pace of games. I worry about some dumb umpire misapplying the rules and screwing us at some point, but I guess that’s the way it goes sometimes

Like it or not, MLB has to do something to shorten games and they are trying
They average viewer of MLB is 56 and they have to capture a younger audience. 2.5 hours is perfect for a game. I think the avg in MLB was 3 hours 4 minutes last year
