Outcoached every game so far this season! This guy doesn't seem to have any fire and is soft dealing with players and assistant coaches. He is, however, dealing with a team made up of poor (supposedly) professional players... oline, especially Ruiz, is terrible; total defense is of practice squad caliber.

Defense SUCKS

re: Defensive holding on a running play? What?

Posted by ramchallenge on 10/5/26 at 8:13 pm to Suntiger

Falcons holding all night and no calls on them... pathetic officiating, as usual!

Plenty holding by Atlanta NOT being called!

How about Sunday afternoon?

Defensive backs and LB's

Posted by ramchallenge on 9/27/26 at 8:15 pm

Difficult to understand the soft short coverage against a QB who can't throw long passes... poor defensive game plan imo

This officiating crew is beyond pathetic... they shouldn't be calling high school games!

Penalties the difference

Zebras call 7 on the Saints and 2 on the Raiders... gotta beat not only the Raiders but this one-sided crew!

A QB is only as good as his oline and receivers!

Saw that in preseason games, but still kept on the roster! Big liabilty!

Sam's height may be a problem, besides "happy feet." He has too many deflected passes because he can't see over the los and he releases from the pocket very quickly. A QB is only as good as his oline and receivers. Lack of pass blocking, route running, downfield blocking, etc. are problems

re: Bo Bordelon's pass blocking grade looks like my ECON2O35 grade

Bah at RG is also a problem! Need a couple new offensive guards to give it a try!

The pre-season approach

Posted by ramchallenge on 9/13/26 at 4:25 pm

Of not playing the supposedly first team players on offense and defense in any of the 3 preseason games seems to not be the approach to take. 1st half was like these guys were playing a preseason game in my opinion.

Etienne was open

Posted by ramchallenge on 9/13/26 at 4:16 pm

He was wide open for a backside pass on the 2 pt conversion... Shough rushed the throw... and Olave was possibly open in the right flat for a quick pass... just what it looked like to me!

Shough and the offense playing this as a first preseason game... shows the value, or lack thereof, of playing the 3 preseason games.

Saints receivers

Posted by ramchallenge on 9/13/26 at 1:09 pm

Besides Olave, others don't seem to be good route runners and find open space...

re: The Ball went backwards

Backwards pass if it's ruled a passing motion, and should be a live ball!

re: Not enough talent on defense

Lions running at #98 and #7... weak on the left side of the defense!

That is a wonderful tribute to a man and coach I knew long ago when he recruited players I coached for LSU. He will be well remembered for the man and coach he was to many young men. One thing left out of this tribute is that he was a wonderful singer long ago! RIP my friend...
