Does Kenzel Kelly read Tigerdroppings?
Posted by NeilArmstrong1969 on 11/26/25 at 8:08 pm
I tried to gloss over the senior night story but it keeps popping up on my feed, this guy has to be the most unlikeable and least self aware person on the planet. Do you think Kenzel has ever heard of TD or has ever lurked here? Do you think that after his stunt on senior night, he’s aware that everyone thinks he’s the biggest douche on the planet?

re: Hitting or missing on Kiffin and your interest in football

I agree that if we miss on Kiffin nobody is going to be happy with the hire no matter who it is. After watching our offense against WKU I think that made everyone want Kiffin that much more. If we miss on Kiffin I’ll still be interested because it’s LSU but definitely not as interested as if we were to hire Kiffin. The past month has been a roller coaster and if Kiffin actually comes to LSU it’s going to be a cinema of incredible content

This is 100% spot on, a billionaire that lives in California is funding CBK’s buyout and most of Kiffin’s salary, I have no idea why Flynn and so many others get so upset over this
Off the Bench has really gone down hill since T-Bob left

For years OTB has been my go to morning show but today I’ve officially moved on to greener pastures. I’ve given them multiple opportunities but the show has gotten so bad since T-Bob left that I can no longer listen. Hester genuinely seems like a nice guy but he might be the most vanilla person in sports talk radio. Flynn is an arrogant smart arse who adds nothing of value to the show - he has zero interesting or original takes. Flynn is so out of touch, he genuinely questions why everyone has so much hype over Lane Kiffin.
Half the time they just let Taylor and Alondra ramble as if anyone actually cares what they have to say. Taylor also seems like a genuinely nice guy, but he does himself and everyone listening a disservice every time he opens his mouth. This guy’s voice is one of the most painful things I’ve ever heard and it makes nails on a chalkboard sound like Mozart. I legitimately feel bad for him because I know it’s not something he can control. OTB lost all of its flavor when T-Bob left and it’s a shame to see a once great show go down the toilet. Does anyone have any other morning show recommendations?

Run Game & Potential Dominoes: Kewan Lacy to LSU
Posted by NeilArmstrong1969 on 11/25/25 at 12:09 am
We have finished dead last in the SEC in rushing offense for the past 2 years and we haven’t had a consistent running game in 5 years. I’ve been very vocal that I don’t want Frank Wilson anywhere near the football field, he has failed to develop talent. What exactly does Frank bring to the table? I would argue that recruiting is less important now than it’s ever been because most players are mercenaries and will go to the highest bidder. I think Frank has been a net negative to the program and I don’t even want him around as a recruiting coordinator. If I’m Kiffin I let everyone go except Baker and Raymond.
Do you know what Kiffin has done this year in the run game? He took a 19 year old Mizzou transfer, coached him up, and now this kid leads the country in rushing TD’s. At Mizzou this kid played in 6 games and had 23 carries for 104 yards and now he’s dragging his nut sack all over the Southeastern Conference. This kid had 2 TD’s against Georgia, 2 TD’s against Oklahoma, 3 TD’s against Florida, and has scored in every game this season except Wazzou. Do you think this kid is staying in Oxford or following Lane to his next destination to try and win some hardware and play for the coach that changed his life? I’d be willing to bet on the latter. Hey Kewan, come to Baton Rouge mane, put on that yella jersey mane!

re: The Bama bias is laughable

If you think Notre Dame should be ranked above Bama then you shouldn’t be allowed to vote or reproduce. Bama has wins over Georgia, Tenn, Missouri, and Vandy. What’s Notre Dame’s best win? USC? Arkansas? GTFO

Does CBK come back to Tiger Stadium Saturday for his son’s senior night?
Posted by NeilArmstrong1969 on 11/17/25 at 10:52 pm
I was listening to Preston Guy earlier and he brought up an interesting question, CBK’s son is a senior on the team this year, does his dad come back for senior night or does he skip it?
Is Knox a good QB?
Posted by NeilArmstrong1969 on 11/17/25 at 7:39 pm
Has anyone taken the time to watch his highlights? 247 has him listed as 6’2 170 which is slim but he’s still only a sophomore so he’s definitely going to add size as he develops. Does Oxford High play any real competition or is more of an Arch Newman situation? I’ll hang up and listen
Pod of Geauxld - CBK’s virus has infiltrated our podcasts
Posted by NeilArmstrong1969 on 11/13/25 at 11:33 pm
The Pod of Geauxld baws didn’t release a new episode tonight as promised and it appears that CBK’s lackluster and apathetic attitude has permeated into the podcast world. We only get 12 Saturdays a year and these guys are just skipping over them like it’s nothing. Saban is the current betting favorite to be our head coach and these guys really have nothing to say about it? We’re seriously just skipping Bama and Arkansas altogether?
I turned my sister’s best friend on to POG and now their entire office gets together on a weekly basis to drink wine and listen to the pod live. They all think that Mike’s voice is “hot” whatever the hell that means, not sure how someone’s voice can even be interpreted like that. Not only were my sister’s friends upset about the cancellation today, they were so disappointed and upset that one of them sent me this text earlier - “You mean to tell me that in the midst of a coaching search and a QB controversy these guys have just decided to mail it in take an entire 2 weeks off? Is this a joke?” I agree with her there, it’s ironic how they criticize CBK for not being invested and fully bought in when they themselves can’t even record and release a new episode

In defense of Garrett Nussmeier
Posted by NeilArmstrong1969 on 10/27/25 at 9:53 pm
Nuss has taken a lot of heat recently, some of it is on him but a lot of it is unwarranted. His o-line has been awful, he’s been hit on nearly every drop back this season and he has no running game to back him up. When the defense drops 8 into coverage and can get pressure with 3, anyone is going to have a hard time to succeed. Have there been times this year when he should’ve tucked it and ran? Yes. Have there been times when he’s thrown awful interceptions? Yes. Nuss isn’t the reason that we lost to A&M and he wasn’t the reason why we lost to Vanderbilt. He clearly hasn’t been healthy and this coaching staff should’ve never allowed him to play in a couple of these games. Sloan had zero business calling plays at LSU and he 100% wasn’t doing Nuss any favors. Nuss has definitely lost money with his draft stock this year but he’ll he just fine with his $4 million
The NFL execs will take this into consideration regarding the draft:
-Poor o-line play
-Health
-Lack of run game
-Awful coaching/playcalling
How many terrible QB’s have we seen drafted way too high over the past few years? All of these QB’s were drafted in the first round: JJ McCarthy, Mitch Trubisky, Anthony Richardson, Will Levis, Kenny Pickett, Zach Wilson, Josh Rosen, Deshon Kizer. Take a look at how high Tyler Shough, Malik Willis, and Will Grier were drafted.
How many guys have we seen recently that have had average to above average careers at LSU and then go on to thrive in the NFL? In the right scheme, I expect Nuss to do the same. You could see how emotional he was during the 4th quarter at Vandy, how much he cared and how bad that affected him. Those are the kind of guys that I want in this program. Nuss 100% could’ve played better at times this year, but this train wreck of a season isn’t on him

LSU’s O/U for first quarter points tomorrow is 2.5
Posted by NeilArmstrong1969 on 10/17/25 at 10:12 pm
LSU’s O/U for first quarter points tomorrow is 2.5 at -135 odds, that has to be a lock right? I feel like best case scenario we score 17 points in the first quarter and then on the complete opposite side if you’re coming out of the first quarter with only a field goal you’re disappointed, but that over still cashes

NeilArmstrong’s LSU Media Rankings
Posted by NeilArmstrong1969 on 10/15/25 at 11:35 pm
Hey guys it’s time for my quarterly ranking of LSU sports media. I consume as much baseball and football content as anyone I know and am more qualified to speak on this than you are. Before you ask, yes this is the real Neil Armstrong.
1. Pod of Geauxld - These baws are back to releasing a new pod every Tuesday and have the most reasonable takes along with a good mix of humor. Their intern seems like a nice guy and knows ball, but he consistently fumbles the audio, tonight there was no audio for the first 7 minutes on YouTube. POG is the steak dinner that I look forward to every week.
2. Hunt Palmer - 104.5 is filled with a lot of not so great content and Hunt is the best talent they have by far. Hunt is a logical person and often views things through a lense that I hadn’t thought of. His Friday picks ATS make me laugh, 10 points to Gryffindor.
3. Mike’d Up - Mikie was flat out awful when he first started his show and he’s really made some major strides since then. When I listen to his show I feel like I’m having a conversation with friends. I enjoy his and Jared’s football takes and it’s great having a player’s perspective. They have the best interviews of any show hands down and should really be proud of what they have going.
4. Blake Ruffino - I initially didn’t like this guy and he’s definitely not for everybody, but I enjoy his content. Blake knows his X’s and O’s better than most media and I’ve for sure learned a couple of things watching his show. Blake has had some flat out ridiculous takes but what I like most about him is that he’s not afraid to call a spade a spade.
I’m going to give an honorable mention to the kid who replaced Jordy Culotta. Does anyone know what happened to Jordy or what he’s doing now? I figured he’d still be involved in LSU sports media in some capacity but I guess not. I’ve tried listening to Noah’s show and it’s not terrible but a lot of it is very cringe and not my cup of tea. I can definitely respect what Noah is doing and he seems like he’s working hard. I’d also like to give an honorable mention to Cauble for standing strong in CBK’s face. Cauble was here before CBK and will be here long after CBK is gone.

Do you think anything posted here gets back to CBK?
Posted by NeilArmstrong1969 on 10/13/25 at 8:24 pm
CBK has learned by now that life isn’t all sunshine and rainbows in Baton Rouge when you’re not putting a quality product on the field and performing up to expectations. I would think that there are people within the program that lurk here, do you think CBK is aware of TD or that anything posted here has ever made its way back to him?
