It's the pattern with Yeskie. If he stays, it will get worse.

How can you be a pitcher at LSU and not throw strikes? You got there because of your status and talent. How in the world does that all of a sudden disappear and you can't throw a damn strike? Not one, but many of our pitchers.

How many runs in the last 4 games? Pretty much tells the tale.

Who signed these pitchers? Who's supposed to develop them?

What’s crazy is we lead the league in both Ks and walks - so I guess it’s either feast or famine
It’s just nuts

The Ks aren’t really earned, they are mostly a function of teams getting up fast on us and most games over by the 4th inning. The opposing hitters just swing for the fences and K more. It’s not earned, Yeskie sucks.

I wouldn’t say he sucks but the situation has been frustrating
I disagree with Ks not being earned - they are still Ks

I am only a big fan of two sports = college football and baseball.

I am inured wrt losing football games - my high school team went 1-9 in '55, but I busted my arse on every damned play.

I know what outmatched feels like - and I can cheer for a team that shows their grit in doing the best they can.

I have never been a baseball pitcher - but I am confident I could throw a baseball over the plate in the strike zone.

I have watched too many games this year where our pitchers look as if they are just learning the game - walks, and wild pitches, and passed balls should be rare thing, not a staple feature of the game.

This year, pretty early on, I have left the tv after too many garbage pitches - was not good for my health. Gave up on this game very early.

Hope for better competitiveness next year.

If I told you this year’s pitching is the best we will see for the next 2 decades at LSU (by a massive margin), what would you say?

Better off just throwing it down the middle and take your chances.

Number one, I would say you are wrong. Number two, if you are right, we would be in for a serious decline in Tiger baseball.

This year's pitching is nowhere near the best. We always have at least two studs that can pretty much guarantee you a W. We don't have one pitcher this year that can dominate. We pretty much have a 50/50 shot every time we put one of these rag arms on the mound. Hell, we score 8, 10, 12, runs and still LOSE.

What you should be asking yourself is why Jay said, preseason, that this is the best staff he’s ever had. Couple that with the speech he gave about how he mismanaged the roster this year. Virtually everything he said was about hitting. There was maybe one passing comment about pitching. His focus is clearly not on pitching and fielding.

How in tf did I get a notification to a thread when I made no such reply?

Ill reply. Again,

Offense is good
Defense is good
Pitching is the worst its been in the history of LSU baseball.

Even most high school coaches(where fundamentals are pushed 24/7) are even scratching their heads knowing how fundamentals and conditioning works for pitchers. How in tf can there be so many UN mechanically sound mechanics on the mound to deliver so many "balls" at LSU? Pitcher workouts on the field are done for a reason, bp work is done for a reason, lots of conditioning is done for a reason, lots of one on one coach to player work is done for a reason, weightroom is done for a reason, pfp is done for a reason and pmt practice is done for a reason . The amount of improper windup, backend alignment, glove/ball seperation, front half balance, release point and follow through BS ive seen this season is wild af and none of this was corrected as the season went on. Im not even talking about grips to hit spots. Hit spots? Hit spots?(Mora playoff rant)! Forget that shite, most of them cant throw a precision pitch on any part of the plate unless of course we are down in the count and they finally pipe one at the dick and give up a bomb. People can say what they want but the system in place failed terribly. I assume the same system was there last season and it worked and thats confusing. So either the coaches failed last fall and this year in practice or the coaches failed on recruiting and have a bunch of scrubs that are actually terrible. Might be both this year. Ill get downvoted but only the few actual people who actually know this level of baseball prep will totally understand. Ok im finished
