LSU outhit Florida 12 hits to 8 but loses the game 11-8.

Pitching cost them a game yet again. And of course LSU had 2 errors.
LSU gave up 13 walks and 2 HBP and Florida only had 2 walks. Rizy had 4 walks and 2 WP just by himself.

Jay saying that this was the best overall pitching staff he has had at LSU now sounds like a used car saleman.

HORRIBLE pitching for a first game of a SEC series weekend.

This keeps happening and is not a coincidence. Other teams are more patient and disciplined at the plate.

we're 4th in the league at drawing walks and in the middle of the pack in Ks as a team. We're plenty patient at the plate. Our pitchers just suck

If he keeps Nate Yeskie, he really will sound like a used car salesman.

I know you forget about the title in 2025 because you spent the entire season whining about the team. So I’ll remind you:

They won the title on the back of the pitching staff.

This is the worst I’ve seen them play ever. Top of the 1st was absolutely crushing (obviously). Overall, pitching gave up too many free bases and hard contact. On the same side of the coin, fielding was less than stellar. I’ve never seen so many choppers and weak contact make it to the outfield for base hits. Hopefully they pull it together for next year.

They had three studs. Coaching requires developing the lesser guys as well. There's no excuse for this performance.

Wanna take a guess who coached those studs up?

So what happened this year? Johnson said it was his best pitching staff at LSU. Who's responsible?

Everyone failed this year you fricking dipshit.

The coaches earn their blame because they put the roster together. When the players step between the lines it’s up to them to execute, and this team just doesn’t. Thats where they get their blame.

Everyone is to blame.

13 walks is enough to take up a whole weekend, let alone a Friday night.

Familiar script; score 8 runs only to lose.

What horrific pitching--all those walks are reminiscent of a team of 5-year olds whose pitchers cannot throw strikes to save their lives, especially the tallest player on the team.

We used to feel great about scoring eight runs, but not this time.

disclaimer: CJJ has hardware, i like him and don't want him gone and giggle at anyone suggesting he's on a hot seat or should be next year etc, and I am NOT comparing him to CBK.......but I hope a day comes where LSU coaches just give vanilla, coach speak answers and quit hyping up these teams as "the best roster/squad/arms we've had since I've been here", only to be followed by some historically terrible seasons.

coach, recruit, win games, and talk as vanilla as you want. as a fan, i don't NEED TO KNOW THIS WAS THE BEST STAFF EVER for him. bad look now.
