Dale Brown didn’t get crucified when he brought all the foreigners over

List those players, the years they played, where they were from, and the years they played.

I'll give you the one I recall most vivdly (the only one, really) because we were at LSU at the same time (my fresahman, his senior year).

Andy Campbell, 77-78 to 80-81, Hackham, Australia, English.

Who else ya got?
I'm in Lafayette. I have LFT Fiber 1G for $91.49 total cost. I have my own WiFi router. etc.

I like a post you made. :wha:

Luis, Santos, Niang, and Dessert specifically.

My expectation is that Luis will be ruled ineligible.

Niang is the next most questionable, as he was drafted by the NBA and did play in the summer league for the Cavaliers, but it is unclear if he ever signed a contract with them.

Santos and Dessert have never signed with, played for, or even been drafted by an NBA team. I think their path is pretty clear based on recent history and current rules.

No I did not.

Does that change your opinion as to whether LSU boosters should have funded this?

So are you telling me it would have been okay if he would have written it to the player.

How would you come to that conclusion? That makes no sense, particularly in the context of you questioning whether LSU boosters should have been involved in providing that money.

CWW reportedly may have written a check or two out of an account he was associated with. I am not claiming he did or did not. But we all know things are done around other programs.

I think its ashame that his or LSU boosters or the powers that be were not stepping up and he felt the need to do something like that.

Did the basketball program have any support during his first tenure. I am not sure it did if he felt the need to do that.

Do you realize that was written to a person not associated with LSU and for a person not associated with LSU?

I can't believe I'm saying this, but you need to go back to obsessing about other men's dongs.

I felt like he called more fastballs for Guidry.

But it could have just been that Guidry had more pitches working and it allowed him to call pitches in an atypical way for him.

Valid point, and it highlights the nuance in baseball, even in pitch selection.

It gets very simple when players are doing the things they were expected to be able to do.

Money is involved now these are not amateurs .

Money has been in college athletics for years now.

A person has a right to work

Sure, but they don't have a right to work at any job they want, regardless of their qualifications. College athletics has a set of eligibility rules. That is effectively the same as required training or years of service in professional and trade jobs.

All the pitchers looked more consistent etc.

Or maybe the pitchers were just more consistent? :dunno:

What I expected as pitch placement didn't seem to be very different, if at all. Just the number of misses seemed considerably lower.

As are most athletic rules.

Evans throws a 7-inning complete game shutout, and LSU wins 12-0.

It's because LSU is attempting to sign players that (by the book) are out of eligibility with the intention of challenging via lawsuit.

Other than RJ Luis Jr., how many guys have they signed who played college basketball at an NCAA school, then signed an NBA contract? I honestly don't know.

I think RJ Luis Jr. should be ineligible, personally. Basketball is pretty lenient in terms of entering the draft. If you don't get drafted, you can return; if you sign a contract, you cannot. Failing to make the roster in the NBA and/or G League after signing a contract is not a reason to be able to return to college, nor should it be. I'm thinking RJ Luis Jr. will be denied a waiver. I guess it is worth a shot if you're LSU and figure the guy will try somewhere, but I would not expect it. Of course, I did not expect Chambliss to get a waiver for missing a season due to a sore throat
