re: Your weekly golf tv ratings report

Zurich was packed Friday and Saturday. Sunday looked slammed before the delay as well.

These numbers are horrendous for LIV. They had one of their better leaderboards, going against a non elevated event in a weather delay, and on a widely watched channel.

Not sure even Jim could spin those.
Wow that would be extremely unfortunate. Operator error or the crane had an issue?
Louisiana has been killing it lately on the industrial / manufacturing front.

Hopefully the state keeps up the momentum.

The poster you’re replying to has the same schtick on every board. Doesn’t post anything of substance just that all the teams or events that people enjoy are either dying or on the way to leaving the area.

I can’t tell you any value, but that acushnet ball is cool. Never seen one before the Titleist name was on the ball.
Let me know if you look for anyone to pass your monthly hand me downs
I think the alternate shot aspect is really tough, especially for these younger teams. Capan was completely lost on the back 9 yesterday when the pressure ramped up.

A scramble to me just feels like it would lose all aspects of a high stakes tournament.

I love scrambles with my friends, but I don’t watch tournament golf for that.
Scramble would feel too easy. These guys are still playing for their careers and a scramble would take a lot of the pressure off.

Only way I’d like a scramble is if they just turned the Zurich into like an all star weekend. Give everyone a week off and celebrate the games biggest stars. Draft teams and play scrambles.

Not saying that’s the direction the zurich should go, but that’s the only situation I can see a scramble on a professional tour.
Scottie and Burns have played before and I’m sure Tom Kim has as well. A lot of who shows up will depend on how the masters goes.

No Laying Up said this morning the players and the zurich are both happy with the format, so I don’t see a whole lot changing at this point.
Probably not honestly.

The Zurich is parked directly behind the masters and an elevated event. Most the top guys are going to use the Zurich to take a break.

I kinda enjoy seeing these younger teams throw up on themselves trying to close out a golf tournament in alternate shot.

Well he went on to win the masters in 23.

The point is for as good as LIV has been for Bryson’s career it’s been equally as bad for rahm and even moreso for cam smith.

And I guess the bigger question for LIV is who is in line to replace these guys when exemptions run out or they just retire?

Yea if you read my post you’ll notice I said Bryson is carrying the league. Outside of him, they need to start making noise.

When one of your stars is openly campaigning for Niemann to be number 1 in the world but he can’t finish top 10 in a major it’s a tough look.

Look at rahm since going over there.

We got grown men here that watch the LPGA, but it’s “crazy” that someone would watch a tour with Bryson, Rahm, Niemann, Koepka, Phil, DJ, etc

You guys keep overlooking one crucial detail. It’s not that LIV doesnt have names. It’s that the format of LIV and the entire production feel like a gimmick.

And those names have to start producing in majors or the noise that LIV isn’t real tournament golf will only get louder. Bryson is carrying the entire league.

Did they actually? I know last year was a record too.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone that far left on 18. Hope they keep the tents up next time I’m out there

I don’t think anyone doubts there’s alot of money on the line, but these tournaments feel like exhibitions.

I think that’s the general knock on LIV and the results in majors sans Bryson kinda support that thought.

Who is currently 1 in LIV standings?

Zurich and the PGA have to be fuming about this situation.

Somebody royally screwed up.

ETA: CBS gets bailed out by a weather delay.

Wow. I was going to blame entergy but there’s power all over the course. So appears to be a CBS issue.

Did they say what the actual issue is? The CBS truck just has no power?
