Many of the ones they let in gained power and become a part of the government as that was their plan all along. They infiltrated and ingrained themselves to where they have the power to call the shots now.

The states have been together since either the 16 or 1700s (it’s been a while since I’ve studied the English civil war and the glorious revolution so the dates slip me at the moment.)
The Scots and the Irish have such a chip on their shoulders, they think this is how they’ll get back at the English.

The Stuart monarchy was Scottish. It's what precipitated the Act of Union in 1707. The English never whined about being ruled by Scottish monarchs from James I until Queen Anne.

Ahh ok makes sense. And yes my point was as you said there’s been plenty of times Scot’s ruled England even. The empire for the longest time put English and Scot’s as near equals if not equals entirely. The Scot’s were not treated nearly as bad as the Irish was my point historically
