To be fair, we’ve never seen someone generate this kind of momentum on a local level in STP. He’s a good dude who believes in being open. That’s rare.
Shane Guidry forced Hodges out. Hodges has stink on Landry. Landry and Hodges have falling out. Landry helps Hodges get next job by PAC funding campaign. Hodges leaves. Win win for both.

Hodges camp offered Seuzeneau big money to stay out of the race. They know he’s the favorite to win.

a Sheriff is a better job than being an LSP head?

He doesn't have a choice. Hodges is being forced out. Hodges has dirt on Landry. Landry agrees to help Hodges get next job by fundraising if Hodges leaves Landry. Politics in its purest form.
LSP announced transition ceremony on Friday, qualifying for STP Sheriff starts next Wednesday. Landry has summoned big money backers to fund Hodges campaign. Longtime Slidell Police CAO/spokesman Seuzeneau is the favorite to win Sheriff race.
Seuzeneau is the most open public official St Tammany has ever had. Goes out of his way to explain things and be very clear. He’s young comparatively, a rock solid leader, has the support of the deputies, has led SPD as interim chief with honor, list goes on. There’s a reason the Hodges (Landry) camp didn’t want Seuzeneau to run. It’s his race to lose.
History is giving me anxiety through these next few rounds lol
Jay is about to have a long night of phone calls
Low before he went to combine. 0.01% following his batting performance.

Hodges and Landry had a falling out. Hodges has stink on Landry and Landry wants to keep him quiet, so he's helping him become Sheriff by getting big money behind him. Win win for both. Although, I think Daniel Seuzeneau is who STP needs badly right now and think he wins.
Deputy Chief Bret Ibert was named Chief Deputy and is next in line to take the reigns tomorrow when Randy resigns.

The tax is going to pass, as is the mosquito vote.

If it doesn't you might as well merge St. Tammany into Orleans after you take 140 cops off the street.
He becomes sheriff when Randy resigns, which he does not want.

Jake Brown could use a good backup when he inevitably comes back

Jay is never doing 2026 again
I dont have the stats, but it feels like he got burned more in the OF than 1B
The euros are falling out due to the heat. Can you imagine them in that south Louisiana humidity?

I know that last play didn’t look great for him, but I’ve been a fan of Takeuchi for a couple years.

Looked like he pulled up a little because he didn’t know how much room he had left before wall. I’d take him as a starting player next year without question.

Most were calling him an arrogant a-hole that drinks too much

Yet every single poll gives him the highest favorability by double digits. He’s the top law enforcement guy in a pro-cop parish. Yes, his image has taken a hit. But the crowd is split 50-50 on whose side to take.

doesn't need to remain as a sheriff because of it

Start a recall petition. You’ll learn Randy is the most liked elected official in St Tammany. The only people I know calling for him to resign are Bobby’s allies
Couvillion ran his mouth about Randy’s wife. Randy did what 95% of us would’ve done. His issue is that he is an elected official.
He turned himself in to Tangi jail. He is the sheriff of St. Tammany. It would be more work for deputies to protect him in STP jail, and he would face accusations of preferential treatment.
