watched the end of this game... 3-1 top 7, 1 out... runners on first and second... SP hit a line drive to left center two runners on very close together (lead runner on 2b held up to make sure the ball dropped, trail runner on 1b had gone more than halfway)... anyway, they rounded third, both were going to score to tie the game, trail runner tripped and fell down and had to scramble back to third... next batter hard liner to third and a good play by third baseman for the out, next batter fly to center... good game and fun to watch the ending especially when i had no true rooting interest for either team...

Actually PHS' best two arms are hurt (for sure 2 of the best 3, who are also the starters at SS and 1B when they are not pitching) and they have another starter out... but they played scrappy these two games and get another week.

yes. very well played game all the way through with each Teams pitchers dealing and opportunities on both sides until the 8th. PHS turned the order over and the top of the lineup came through. Took the air out of Riverdale and got into the bullpen. Ended up batting around. The final score does not show how competitive and good of a high school game this was between two very evenly matched and well coached teams.

Thanks to everyone for the input and suggestions. We are leaning toward Harbor or Casa Garcia this afternoon and will leave it open for consideration Friday depending on times and such.

Someone had mentioned a place called Big Ez Seafood and Oyster House but I did not see that mentioned here? Any thoughts on that place?

Will be in the area for a HS baseball playoff series at Mike Miley Park (W. Metairie Avenue I believe).

Looking for a casual sit down place for pre-game apps/drinks for Thursday afternoon, timeframe around 3-5 or so; and also recommendations for a sit down post game dinner Friday around the 7pm timeframe. Would like to stay close to the area of the Airport toward Miley park but open to all suggestions...

I admittedly don't know how all of the rankings work...

Division I Select... as of today I see:

15. St. Aug 26.85 (no game scheduled that I can tell)
16. Riverdale 26.21 plays The Willow School
17. Pineville 25.52 plays at Oakdale
18. Byrd 24.98 plays Glenbrook

Any scenario where Pineville catches Riverdale moving up to 16 (which would put them possibly hosting)?; or scenario where Byrd moves up and Pineville moves down?
