Going to listen to scones recap on my way home tonight and compare to your notes. But I don’t think you’re him

If I was him I would be giving my notes on a video like he does.

Detillier said Jordan Ross got nicked today

Saw that as well. Walked over to trainers but was quickly back out there during the red zone portion of 11-on-11. Can confirm he’s not injured.

What Recievers are sticking out to ya?

Jackson Harris is our deep threat and stood out the most to me.

Jayce Brown is our “Malik Nabers” style of taking a short pass to the house/YAC WR. He’s a stud.

Philly Wright will play due to his speed. He had a couple great reps today.

Obviously Trey’Dez is our best weapon but he’s not a WR.

Jabari Mack is for real too. Definitely looks like a standout true freshman. I hope he plays in the fall. Too good to keep off the field.

Charles Ross? When did he switch to Edge?

Jordan Ross (Tennessee transfer) - should’ve been clearer on that.

Charles Ross played well today at LB, he was in the area of a lot of runs. He stood out to me. Had a batted ball and a TFL today.

Anything from Shanklin or Michael Turner?

Didn’t see Shanklin out there much. Think he’s running with 3s. Had my eyes on other players.

Michael Turner had a good rep against Jackson Harris. He plays fast and broke up a deep ball to Harris. Won’t start but may rotate in.

I think CB shakes out like this:
Pickett/Woodland - boundary
Finney - slot
Jakeem Jackson - CB3/4
Michael Turner - CB5
quote:

can you tell us how the D-line rotations look,

Umanmielen & Ross 1st team edges
Dylan Carpenter, Jaylen Brown ran as 2s

DT was rotated continuously, tough to nail down who was running with 1s

Finney is legit. Flashes of freshman Stingley but it’s still early. I’m super excited about him.

TJ Dottery blew up multiple runs for a loss while playing MLB lined up over the guard/center.

If you don't mind, can you tell us how the D-line rotations look, who is getting reps at edge behind the starters, and how does Havon Finney look?

Will answer all of these within the next hour. Have notes for all of it.

The offense performed better today in full-team periods, ultimately winning the 11-on-11 segment with touchdowns on the last two drives. (One led by Landen Clark & one led by Husan Longstreet)

Ty Benefield was the most impressive defensive player during practice. He had lockdown coverage of Jackson Harris down the sideline on a couple reps and broke up multiple passes. He also intercepted a deep ball intended for Philly Wright in the end zone. (Thrown by Longstreet)

DJ Pickett had an interception on an out route to open 7-on-7 portion of practice where Husan Longstreet underthrew the ball.

Havon Finney added an interception on a deep ball along the sideline during 7-on-7. (Was covering Philly Wright) His coverage skills are impressive and he will undoubtedly push for CB3 spot. I really think he will be CB3 come week 1.

Jhase Thomas also came up with a key interception over the middle in the red zone on a great adjustment to the ball. Interception was thrown by Landen Clark.

Despite that, the offense responded well. Jackson Harris found success attacking the middle, hauling in a touchdown on a drag route during 11-on-11 work. (TD thrown by Longstreet)

Winnie Watkins added another score on a well-executed screen pass to the left, with Seaton leading the way on the block.

Philly Wright capped things off with a touchdown on the first play of the final series, reinforcing the offense’s strong finish. (TD thrown on a seam route by Longstreet)

Injury note: WR Tre Brown (Ole Dominion) was limited and seen in a boot while working on the exercise bike. He DNP in the rest of the practice.

Whit Weeks participated in position drills but DNP in 7-on-7 or 11-on-11. Leavitt DNP but was out there taking mental reps behind the QB on every series.

Special teams had a rough day - punters were inconsistent with distance and both Winnie Watkins & Jayce Brown muffed a punt return rep.

Depth Chart Notes:

Dilin Jones ran with the 1s today, Harlem Berry ran with the 2s, and Caden Durham ran with the 3s. Figured I should note that. Jones was the most impressive player on offense today. He has a quick initial burst and fights for extra yards on every rep. He will be a big factor for us this season.

OL looked great today outside of a couple reps as mentioned above when Dottery burst through the line for a TFL. Seaton locked up Umanmielen in all reps I saw. Seaton is a more well-rounded player than Will Campbell, who was also in attendance for today’s practice.

Jamarcus Russell was also present for the second time this week.

Overall: Offensive unit finished strong and was productive in team periods, but turnovers and special teams consistency remain areas to clean up.

Feel free to ask questions about anything in particular as well and I’ll answer to the best of my ability.

6’2” 235 with a 10.4 100m? Sign his arse up.

Love an old-school 230+ RB and this one has speed to boot. I want him at LSU badly.

Love how many OL are on this list. Couple visits from players committed elsewhere.

 :lsu:

As confirmed by Dobson himself, he will be in attendance for LSU’s spring practices this weekend.

He has an official visit set for June 12-14 as well.

This is as big of a recruitment as DJ Pickett’s recruitment from 2024. LSU has trended well for Dobson, let’s hope this visit makes a great impression on him. I’ll update this thread when I hear how the visit goes this weekend.

RPM’ed to LSU this afternoon, this is likely Lane’s Tiger emoji tweet from this past weekend. Have it on good authority that the emoji refers to an in-state recruit. Updated post title and description to reflect new information.

No clue how this works or who this is, but it’s news nonetheless. I would assume he joins during Fall Practice, but I’m not familiar with the process of committing this late.

ETA: Isaiah Hackett 24/7 Profile

Entered portal 12/1/25 and remains uncommitted.

Would be a great kid to land - top 10 player in the state of Louisiana.

#5 ATH nationwide in the class of 2027.

Nothing on Shanklin. Haven’t heard much about Jaylen Brown either. Think both are running with 3s as of now.

I’ll be in attendance for Thursday’s scrimmage and can keep an eye out for you if you’d like and update later on in this thread.

Our fielding is looking like the School of Deaf & Blind out there…

Right after the AD announces a rev share increase this past Friday. Use your head man.

Are we serious here? Or just uninformed?
