He did not redshirt last year, so he will have 3 more years of eligibility left after 2026.

That InsideTexas bit about “Jalen Brewster & Texas Tech expected to part ways, with Brewster likely to end up at LSU” was Brewster’s agent’s last shot at driving up his bidding price for a third-party school prior to his decision. (i.e. Florida/Texas)
My two cents, if I had to wager, is that Brewster will be an LSU commit by end of July.
