US NFL Stadiums are so much more well made than this Paris Stadium

Look at this stadium they are in. Now look at SoFi Stadium. SoFi stadium absolutely blows this venue out the water. That will be where the 2028 opening and closing ceremony is.
I realize the Paris Stadium was built in the late 90s. Metlife stadium was built near the same time. Denver's Mile High Stadium built near then. Those 2 US stadiums still just look a lot nicer than this Stade de France.
It just looks like a lot of concrete in the stadium with uncomfortable seating whereas NFL stadiums everyone has their own visible seat from the field. I think that's it. Also the Disc that outlines the perimeter at the roof. Looks weird.
Sofi Stadium was $5,500 million. Stade de France inflation adjusted cost in today's dollars is $770 mil. SoFi Stadium cost 8x as much inflation adjusted as Stade de France.
If you're going to host by far the most prolific international event in the world watched at some point by over billions, it should be in a modern stadium.

To me it looks like weirdest from the outside with all the exposed ramps.

Well yeah... Stade de France is 30 years older than SoFi.

Metlife stadium was built near the same time.
Do you do any research before posting or do you just enjoy looking like an idiot?

What do they normally use stade de France for since psg doesn't play there. Just curious.
Is it kinda like Wembley?

It just looks very concrete in the stadium with uncomfortable seating whereas NFL stadiums everyone has their own visible seat from the field. I think that's it.
Also the Disc that outlines the perimeter at the roof. Looks weird.

Also, Stade de France was built as a multipurpose stadium (namely, T&F and soccer), while MetLife was built football as its main focus.
Having to accommodate both those sports really fricks up the plans for ideal sightlines and such.

Oh god someone's gotta a heavy flow today. Poor you hahaha.
How about you add some contribution to the conversation, like other stadiums built in the NFL around the time Stade de France did and how they compare? Or is the flow too heavy for that today?

Track, which again, is why the sightlines are weird because the seating is far away for a soccer match or anything the takes place in the infield because of the track.

For France's premier stadium to host the Olympics, this stadium is not well done.
1998 Cost: $400 mil adjusting to todays euro to $ rate roughly.
Adjusted for inflation 2010 cost: $535 million
2010 Metlife cost: $1,600 million. 3x the cost of Stade de France.
This is their host stadium which I imagine is the premier in Paris to host the closing of the Olympics, you'd think it'd be the most expensive to build in France for this reason. Boom suck deez nutz bitch, or do you enjoy looking like an idiot? 1/3rd the inflation adjusted cost of Metlife.

Put a 400M track inside of SoFi and see how good the sight lines are for football.

If you're going to host by far the most prolific international event in the world watched at some point by over billions, it should be in a modern stadium aka a SoFi, Jerry World, Metlife, Allegiant Stadium.. not some mid to late 90's outdated stadium.

The track in 2028 is in the Coliseum
Posted on 8/11/24 at 2:46 pm to usc6158
Yea I'm talking about opening and closing ceremonies which are at SoFi

Coliseum is cool too in that it's hosted 3 Olympics before by that time and opened over a century ago. This is just some mid late 90s stadium that doesn't have character or anything that shows Olympic closing ceremonies to me.

other countries don’t view sports the same way we do nor do they occupy the same amount of cultural space as they do here. so no the stadiums aren’t as nice.

That stadium looks fine lol

NFL stadiums so great that the players hate the fake playing surface and the stadiums will have to renovated for the World Cup in 2 years
