Well, they just paid the last installment of his $17 million buyout in December, so I'm thinking money may not be a huge issue for him at the moment.

Thats a ridiculous assumption. Number 1, his buyout didn’t include an offset clause.
Number 2, the money is all coming from LSU, so even if there were an offset LSU could pay him anywhere up to the remaining value of the buyout and he would be “working for free.”
