Also I’d be shocked if siffan is anywhere near close to as good as she could be in the marathon tomorrow. Respect to her for trying but all of that running has to take a toll on her at some point. If she’s even close to medaling tomorrow I’ll eat crow but my bet is by mile 16 she’s fading hard.

Well Hasan just out kicked the leaders for marathon gold. What a freak

Insanely disappointing race for American women. Sisson has been a big disappointment this year. Dakotah ran well but she shouldn’t be our best finisher.

Poor Jess getting the call to come over for Fiona only to be told she’s racing and then she pulls out at mile 3. frick that.

Yeah it looks like Fiona limped off the starting line and didn't even make it to 5k. That's a really shitty move and I feel bad for Jess

I mean this really wasn’t a good group we had there. Okiefe could have medaled if healthy I guess but still. Lindwurm was a fun story at least. Met her at grandmas last year and she seems like a genuine person so I’m glad she got that experience.

Yes, they won it by a country mile.

I keep stewing on Hassan’s performance. This may be one of the most impressive Olympic accomplishments in athletics of all time. Especially when you consider the course they ran. Just absolutely insane.

Casually taking home 3 medals in 3 distance running events including gold marathon is absurd.

I really don't know how it's possible. It's like when you read about games from the 20s when guys would just enter the 100m, the shot put and the marathon and win them all. She's a total freak of nature

And to set an OR on what was supposed to be one of the toughest marathon courses in recent history. Just insane
