re: Writings discovered in Germany pre-date ancient Sumer by about 35,000 years...

I don’t believe that the Akkadians or Sumerians were actually the earliest civilizations. I believe that hundreds of unknown civilizations have existed that we don’t know about.
I also don’t believe that humans arrived in China or Europe only 10,000 years ago or less. Modern humans have been around for hundreds of thousands years. There’s no way we waited until just 10,000 years ago or even 20,000 years ago to migrate to remote areas of the world like Europe, East Asia, or the Americas. I think it happened way farther in the past.

re: Nice to see Les at the game tonight.

Honestly we owe him tons of respect. Almost all of the LSU teams since Les got canned have been pansies compared to his teams. His teams were always seriously tough and hard-nosed.
Orgeron might have acted more like an intimidating tough guy than Les, but his teams didn’t play like it except for 2018 and 2019 when Joe Burrow was at the helm.
Orgeron’s last two teams in 2020 and 2021 got pushed around and punked quite a bit. The 2021 “Sissy Blue” UCLA game comes to mind.

Downvotes from ignorant people who don’t appreciate one of the better coaches in LSU football history.
We would be back to being a mediocre LSU football program again like in the 1980s and 1990s if Les had not done a damn strong job of continuing the elite program started by Saban. We wouldn’t have the pull to go out and get a guy like Lane Kiffin. We would be a stepping stone like Ole Miss.

[quote]The last part is a weird thing to be annoyed by. If someone has never been to Houma/Thibodaux, and has no plan to go there, why should they be expected to tell you the exact route to take?[quote]
Anyone who lives in South Louisiana should be smart enough to tell you where places like New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Houma, Hammond, etc are on the map and how to get there.
Also, Houma and Thibodaux are not little 500-person villages. 200,000 people live in Houma-Thibodaux and the surrounding area of Terrebonne and Lafourche parishes.
You saying this kind of proves my point about how many dummies we have around here.

I work with a woman at a bank in Metairie who has no idea where Houma or Thibodaux are on the map. She doesn’t know what direction they’re in from Metairie or how to drive there from Metairie. She’s been living in the New Orleans area for 65 years.
How does this even happen? I can’t imagine being that clueless with maps or geography. 75% of the people I meet are like this. They practically need a GPS to get from Metairie to Mandeville.
I would hate to ask random people from Louisiana, much less the rest of the country, to identify New Orleans or even Louisiana on a map. fricking pathetic

2023 LSU, 2024 Tennessee, or 2025 LSU?
I think I’m going with 2024 Tennessee if I’m being totally honest. They had the best roster from top to bottom. No weaknesses in the roster. Pitching, hitting, and fielding were all great. They won the SEC regular season title, the SEC Tournament title, and the College World Series. They left no doubt that they were the best team in 2024.
I give them a slight edge over 2025 LSU.
1.) 2024 Tennessee
2.) 2025 LSU
3.) 2023 LSU
