Second book is my favorite of the first trilogy. It’s a lot less derivative of other series like Hunger Games and Ender’s Game. The fifth and sixth books are my favorites overall.

Would have preferred a series by Apple, but it’s nice to see the adaptation rumors finally become a reality. Makes sense the Hunger Games director would work on this since the first book is essentially a combination of Ender’s Game and Hunger Games. Hopefully Pierce Brown is given significant creative control over this. He has been holding out for a while.

They need to remake season 7 before they try to fix season 8. Giving the white walkers a dragon (that can’t fly over the wall) was nonsense.

Not sure if I’ve seen a thread on this so far. Anybody planning on watching it? It looks ridiculous, but I’ll probably check it out this weekend.

It’s the only way to guarantee you can watch the movies you purchase in the future. The vast majority of digital purchases are just licenses that can be revoked at any time. I have a relatively small library of physical media because I kept getting annoyed when a better version of disc would be released. I’m more motivated now to build up my library because, from my understanding, UHD/4K will be the final format.
The steelbook is still available from Barnes and Noble. I just preordered one a few minutes ago.

Slow Horses will do that. There hasn’t been any word on a new season for Star City. Hope I’m wrong because it needs more seasons and they have renewed some pretty terrible shows for multiple seasons (looking at you, Invasion).

I really enjoyed it too but I don’t think we are getting another season. Viewership was reportedly very low and it’s been three months since the finale with no word on a renewal. Apple is usually very quick with those announcements.

I finished it up yesterday and really enjoyed it. Glad I don’t have to cancel Netflix because I wanted to start the horror show Below after. Agree with everyone that it needed more of the Hamiltons, but it handled my favorite character Lee so well that it made up for their absence. Pugh played a great Cathy and at no point did I feel sympathy for her, even with the added backstory of the incident when she was five.
Just picked it up.

My problem with the ending was how lazily The Man in Black and especially the Crimson King were resolved. Roland’s ending was perfect.

Tickets went on sale today. Probably only matters if you wanted good IMAX seats for opening night.
