I doubt it. That was a very blatant case of gross misconduct that surely gives Ochsner just cause to fire him. They might settle, just to avoid the hassle of a suit, but I think they would easily win the suit, so I expect a settlement on no more than $50k.

Yesterday my wife and I were riding our two little grandsons on our bikes. They saw a trash truck and insisted we ride along with it. The three black men - driver and two workers - were as kind as could be, joking with the kids while they worked and blowing the horn for them. There is kindness everywhere. The real world looks a lot different from the one on social media.

In these cases, I support that Louisiana is a right to work state where an employer or an employee has the right to terminate employment for any reason.
But that doesn’t mean Ochsner doesn’t get slapped with a racial discrimination lawsuit and other bad press even though Ochsner has that right to let him go unless he is under a contract which could be paid out and told not to return.
