You give him a cutoff date, because if they don't and he decides to stay, then LSU is left standing there with their dicks in their hands, recruiting class and transfer portal would be a mess with only retreads left to choose from

And by that time, less coaching candidates will be available because all these other schools with openings will have scooped up a lot of them. This absolutely sounds like something LSU would let happen, stood up at the altar.

Sucks for Josh. He did look shredded at the combine.

As long as they're getting their NIL money, they'll be fine.
Joe Brady on any odds list is silly. He's not coming back to college ball.
UNT coach would take it. If we are screwed, I would much rather get a young unproven coach with upside than a retread.
Ask Mr. Chad Geepeetee who the next coach will be.
That's why you have to find the right person who has high character, personal drive, ambition, and competitive fire beyond just getting paid.

LSU brass better take care of Jay

Verge and LSU brass better make damn sure they keep Jay happy. Give him whatever he asks for.

You can't compare him to the others with metrics because he isn't a HC. Replade him with Dillingham.
At the rate the governor and LSU are going with this shite show, they're going to have to drastically expand their candidate list and beg someone to take this job.
I hope they're vetting bottom of the barrel candidates, because no attractive coaching prospect in demand is going to come work for this shite show.
The drama will never end.
Taking into account the candidate pool at the time, Kelly was a good hire on paper. The frickup was the contract.

This sounds about right.
