Blew the field away just now. The other swimmers weren’t even in the picture she was so far ahead… an Olympic record and gold in the 1500 meters.

She has set the Top 20ish times in the 1500m free. When they asked her after what she thought, she said her most proud thing was her time. She’s so dominant at that race. Ridiculous. 8 golds now, tied for most for a US woman

That is NO small feat. The 1500 is the most challenging race in all of swimming. There was a Russian back in the 80s that was "King of the Pool" He would do 10,000 meters every other day for training I think his name was Salnkov. Destroyed the field in Seoul....and I think in Montreal and when they were in Moscow

It's our sad culture. Gold/Championship or you suck. You've seen all the, "you're irrelevant in CFB" because some consistent Conference winner hasn't won a MNC in awhile.
She wins a Bronze in her previous event on the biggest stage, so she's 3rd best in the world and suddenly she sucks.
We're such a "iRicky Bobby if you ain't first, you're last" society. Suddenly once prestigious Silver and Bronze medals are maligned.
