How many games does Gavin Guidry have to lose before you realize he is not the go to pitcher out of the bull pen!!!

Guidry is a great Omaha pitcher. Big park keeps the ball in. Small park he lets them fly.

Guidry gave up 3 homers in 4 appearances in Omaha in 2023

He got rocked in Omaha. People kind of forget that. He was just coming after guys throwing gas and threw off speed junk. Doesn’t take long to figure him out. Sit off speed and he’ll groove you one. Boom.

I've lost count, but at most it will happen 5 more times, not including the SEC tournament.

He is not a good Omaha pitcher. He closed out the Florida game where we were up 147 to nothing.

He misses his spots too often, and I’m shocked JJ entrusted him at this point. THAT WAS STUPID!

At the start of the year I thought he was going to be a fricking manimal this year. He just has not lived up to the belief for the duration.

Why?

Just like in 2024, he feasted on OOC, but was shelled once SEC play began.

He's a one pitch pitcher and that one pitch loses its effectiveness because it's off of his fastball that is low 90's and flat.

Well I’ll leave you to revisit what I said about the “start” of the year. I genuinely thought he had “it”. I was wrong. He was hurt last year so we only had one year to go off of, his freshman year. I thought maybe he developed. He didn’t.

No excuses for meatball pitches but Guidry came to LSU as a shortstop…

The season is over brother. It’s been over for weeks. Let it go.

Guidry is one of those players that it’s just time for him to move on. It reminds me of the other Barbe players Beau and Bryce Jordan. I couldn’t wait for them to move on from LSU. Just not very good players with a limited ceiling.

He actually throws harder this year. The problem is his location. He leaves pitches right down the middle frequently.

Guidry has th appearance at times of being effective. This is
because the batter knows he’s going to make a mistake sooner
than larer and they are just waiting on that fat pitch. This is the reason
he has a good many strikeouts, but Avery high percentage of the
hits he gives up are homers.

I’d make a case we don’t win the natty last year if Guidry played. He’s that bad

He fricking sucks. And the narrative that he was ever good is retarded. I have never in my life seen someone groove 90 right down the middle and make up for it by spinning an 85 mph slider in the zone more than Gavin Guidry.

But hey, according to himself he’s gods gift to pitching.

He needs to take a seat next to Rizy, Dathe, Primeaux, etc
