Why?

Just like in 2024, he feasted on OOC, but was shelled once SEC play began.

He's a one pitch pitcher and that one pitch loses its effectiveness because it's off of his fastball that is low 90's and flat.

At the beginning of the year he was throwing 95 mph. Or at least that’s what the early season guns were showing. I never bought in, but I can see the reasoning for those who did.

If Guidry doesn't develop a third proper pitch to setup his off speed he's as good as useless. Might be better to part ways with him come the off season and hand it to someone else out of the portal. His stuff is simply not good enough. He can't set his off speed up with the fastball because it's flat 90mph meatball. Not trying to dog the guy but it is what it is at this point and hasn't changed his 4 years at LSU. If he hasn't developed a good 3rd pitch by now he probably isn't going to. His role should be maybe a 1 inning match up guy and that's it.

Apparently enough times to officially knock LSU out of a regional.

This

There isn’t a ballpark big enough to hold the meatballs he’s serving up. At this point, it’s probably fair to say this experiment has run its course, the kid just doesn’t have it.

His curve ball is extremely predictable this year compared to previous years. I think it has lost its quick bite. It is just a big slow curving pitch that when over the plate is generally deposited over the fence. That has to be his last outing at a Tiger.

Maybe Guidry should have played infield instead of switching to pitcher.

He leaves pitches right down the middle frequently.

And i mean right down the middle too. Might as well put it on a tee for the batter

He has zero command of his fastball. It’s horrible.

he was throwing some other shite at the beginning of the year I think he had a decent change up going too . I remember one game he was commanding 4 pitches. not sure where that went . I guess Vanderbilt brought him back to reality.

Guidry's mentality on the mound shows the passion he has for his LSU teammates. That said, I knew we were fricked to tears Friday night when he was put into the game after Sheerin tied 8-8. Once he gave up the three run bomb.

That bomb sealed the series. Epic let down after being up 7-2 earlier in the game, allowing UGA to tie the game, then give up a 3 run bomb to erase any chance we had to take Game 1. I appreciate his devotion to the program, but it is time to cut bait.

Yea, we have so many other great options let’s blame him for all our pitching woes.
