This guy is gay. Marrying a woman won’t help. Right or wrong. The idea of priests marrying is deeper than sex. Priests are charged with the ideals that the church/god/Jesus are their most important mission. A family will rightfully shift their mission. Permanent deacons have helped bridge this issue but the core tenets of putting the church first is clouded by marriage

this isn’t true There are thousands of priests and we hear about the 5% that are psycho pedophiles - and would’ve been psycho pedophiles no matter their vocation/job in life.

The history of the church is problematic, but whatever. People were bad back then.
But, covering up pedos for the past five plus decades all over the planet shows that it is a cultural/leadership/recruitment problem, and it isn’t going away.

What evidence other than 3rd party hearsay do you have that this priest committed an actual crime and isn’t just gay. There’s no criminal investigation.. I’m no fan of Duca but he bounced this priest within 5 weeks of allegations of having an inappropriate relationship with an adult and im on board with his removal.

I used to be friends with a priest who had an adult woman girlfriend. They kept it real quiet. They generally did not go out anywhere together without other adults around. For those of us who knew about it, we didn't care. So it does happen.

I might be thinking of a different case (there are so many it is easy to mix up) but isn't the issue with this priest that he offered a 20 year old dude a blow job?
It's my opinion and experience that most catholic priests are closeted homos. They join the priesthood because they're gay and it is a sin so they go the priest route to have an excuse to not be married or dating women. Plus they get to wear flamboyant costumes.

People are taught by the Church that the immediate response when a child reports an incident of something that remotely seems like it might be grooming or sex abuse is to call 911 immediately and ask for the Police to investigate the alleged crime.
